OSOU Admission 2026-27: The Odisha State Open University is an open university which offers admission to several PG, UG, Diploma, and other degree programmes in the distance mode. Candidates who wish to pursue their degree programme in the distance mode can choose to pursue it from OSOU. The university will shortlist the candidates on the basis of the merit list prepared by the university considering the marks scored by the candidates in the qualifying examination. The online registration form for OSOU Admission 2026-27 is expected to be released in the month of May 2026 on their official website.

Odisha State Open University, established in 2015 with its headquarters in Sambalpur, is an open university that offers 11 Master’s courses and 2 courses each of PGDM, Diploma, and Certificate.

To apply for M.A., M.Com., and M.Sc., candidates should have completed their graduation. For PGDM, all graduates can apply. For Diploma and Certificate programs, candidates should have passed 10+2. Selections for all courses will be based on merit, and applications can be submitted only through online mode.

OSOU Admission 2026-27

This University as it’s name suggests is an open University in Sambalpur, Orissa. It is a public institute that was established in the year 2015. The Chancellor is the governor of India. The Vice-Chancellor is Srikant Mohapatra. The Motto of the university is “Learn and Live”. The University is approved by UGC. It is a co-ed University and modes of education are Distance leaning. It is also known as OSOU. The ownership is taken all over by the State. OSOU has collaboration with many industries in sectors like Power Management, Manufacturing, Automobiles, Entrepreneurship, and many more for certified level courses. The university provides facility of online library. The university ensure equity in higher education. Web conferencing and video conferencing facilities for real time teaching and learning. Design and development of e-learning , e-content , high quality self learning materials in English , m-learning and many more.

There are good library facilities (both physical and digital). Practical’s are being organised in the top most organisations. There are wi-fi enabled labs, and there are highly digital classrooms in certain locations. Sports, cultural activities, debate, arts competition are common here. The college provides job and placements opportunities.

The objective of this university to give an emphasis on the skill based programs for promoting employment opportunities. How to apply for OSOU Admissions 2026?

Students can start filling the application form for admission cycle 2026 in the month of May. Students can get the applications on the official website – @www.webportal.osou.ac.in. Before the release of applications, the university will release the admission notification for UG and PG courses. OSOU Admission Notification 2026 will also contain the notification of release of application forms.

• The students need to enter the enrollment number and roll number.

OSOU ADMISSION 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

The online registration form for OSOU Admission 2026-27 will soon be released by the university on their official website soon. However, not every student is offered admission to the courses which the university has to offer. There are certain basic eligibility criteria which the candidates are required to fulfil before submitting the online registration form for OSOU Admission 2026-27.

The concept to get admission in OSOU is pretty simple. You can visit the website www.osou.ac.in. The process is both through online and offline mode. The candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the college or can also collect the admission form from the campus. The admission to this university is on the basis of merit scored by the candidates for all the programmes.

The minimum elegibility to apply for the OSOU University is that the Candidates must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board. The eligibility criteria for M.A is that the candidates must have completed the bachelors degree in any discipline.

OSOU APPLICATION PROCESS 2026

Candidates who wish to opt for OSOU Admission 2026-27 are required to complete the online registration process by visiting the official website of the university. We have mentioned the steps which the candidates can follow to complete the online registration process.

• Go through the “Available Programme“, to know about your required Programme with details like Minimum Eligibility, Fees, Minimum and Maximum duration.
• Admission Fees can be paid through Online only
• Before starting the online process (filling up application form) be ready with scanned copy of following list of documents
  • Photograph [must be in jpg format with size 300 × 360 px in dimension and less than 300KB in size] 
  • Signature [must be in jpg format of size 200 × 40 px in dimension] 
  • Scan copy of your Name in Odia [must be in jpg format of size 200 × 40 px in dimension] 
  • Certificates of Educational Qualification [must be in jpg or pdf with size less than 300KB each]
  • Category Certificate if any (for ST/SC/OBC Non-Creamy) [must be in jpg or pdf with size less than 300KB]
  • PwD (Person with Disability) Certificate if any [must be in jpg or pdf with size less than 300KB]

After final submission take printout of your form with “Print Application Form” option for your refernce.
No need to send the hard copy of the application form to OSOU.

The registration for OSOU programmes 2026 Open. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website (www.osou.ac.in). The end date to submit the application form is 3rd week of July 2026. The course will commence by 1st week of August 2026.
