DIAT Admission 2026-27: DIAT Institute offers M.Tech courses under 12 departments with a total of 26 specializations, and admission is based on the GATE entrance exam. DIAT is a Deemed-to-be-University located in Pune, Maharashtra, India, which specializes in defence technology and management education. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines such as aerospace engineering, electronics and communication engineering, computer science and engineering, and materials engineering.

DIAT autonomous university is situated in Girinagar, Pune, Maharashtra. It is a deemed university which is established in the year 1952. DIAT university is affiliated to an NAAC,AICTE,UGC and NBA. MHRD, Government of India has placed DIAT (DU) in Category ‘A’ Deemed to be University & ‘NAAC’ and NBA Accredited (An Autonomous Organization, Department of Defence Research & Development, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India).

The university provides admission in the master course on the basis of the GATE admission. Students have to select the course from the available options.

DIAT Admission 2026

DIAT offers education to both girls and boys untidily. DIAT Eligibility criteria

In order to take admission in this prestigious college the students must check whether they are eligible or not. The following are the admissibilities procedure:

• The minimum eligibility is that the candidates should have passed 10 + 2 with 50% aggregates from a recognised University.
• The candidates applied for Mtech should have appeared for GATE
• For Non-Gate students: They need to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the Institute for admission in M. Tech, and its specialization courses, the duration of which is 2 years.
• The candidates applying for PHD courses must have completed the post graduation from a recognised University

Note: candidates are selected only on the basis of eligibility criteria and interview.

DIAT Courses offered

There are different courses offered in different streams. The university offers 26 specialisations in Mtech and there are eight research in PHD.

For the postgraduate programme 25 courses are offered. The popular courses are computer science , Mechanical engineering. There are all total of 25 streams in which students can enroll themselves according to their choice.

DIAT MSc Admission 2026

Aadmission to M.Sc in Food Technology Course at DIAT in association with Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Mysore. Official information available here.

Duration of the Course:

Two Years (I & II Semester at DIAT & III & IV Semester at DFRL, Mysore)

Eligibility Criteria:

Basic graduate degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Nutrition / Sciences / Engineering / Agriculture / veterinary discipline. At least candidate must have science background at 10+2 level.

Selection Procedure:      

Eligible candidates possessing the minimum educational qualifications and satisfying additional criteria set by the department from time to time will be called for Test/ Interview by Selection committee.

Course Fee & Other Charges:  MoD Sponsored (DRDO & Services) & Industry Sponsored

Selected candidates for the M.Sc Food Technology programmes are required to pay Semester Fee ₹ 65,000/- per semester, payable immediately on joining along with Caution Money of ₹ 10,000/-.

• After filling the form and paying the fee the candidates must take the printout which is system generated for future reference.
