ITI Courses After 12th Eligibility Criteria

 This is to point out that, candidates must be 12th pass to pursue these courses. Moreover, after completing training, candidates will have to take All India Trade Test.

Besides, successful candidates will receive, the National Trade Certificates. In general, ITI offers several courses which are known as Trades. On the other hand, each trades focus on specific skills.

It is most important to note that, the candidates must have completed 14 years of age and must be below 40 years.

However, in case of, ex-servicemen & war widows, there is relaxation of upper age limit up to 45 years.

In fact, in case of Person with disability, more 10 years of relaxation is given.

Duration

In general, the duration of ITI courses after 12th ranges from 6 months to 2 years.

In fact the duration of the course depends on the curriculum of the program.

The engineering courses are longer compared to the non-engineering courses.

ITI Courses after 12th Fees 2026

While opting for ITI courses, students are often confused about the fee. ITI admission fees depend on the course and the area of study selected by you.

For Rural areas, the fees are as follows

  • Engineering trades: Rs.15,000
  • Non-engineering trades: Rs.12,000

For Urban areas, the fees are as follows

  • Engineering trades: Rs.16,500
  • Non-engineering trades: Rs.13,200

ITI Admission 2026 Process

Admission to most of the ITI Courses after 12th is done on the basis of the merit list prepared by the university considering the marks scored by the candidates in their qualifying examination. However, some of the institutes also conduct an entrance examination for offering admission to the ITI Courses offered by them.

Firstly, register online for admission.

Secondly, entrance Exam or Merit Based Admission depending up on the states.

Thirdly, Documents are verified and fees are deposited.

Only after the submission of fees, ITI admission is confirmed.

ITI Online Registration 2024

Firstly, open the official website: https://www.ncvtmis.gov.in/

Secondly, provide valid ID proof and mobile number, to register.

Thirdly, you have to fill up the online application form and submit it.

Then, deposit the fees.

Lastly, save the receipt.

ITI Online Application Fees

The fee for the General category is INR 250.
The fee for SC /ST /OBC category is INR 150.

Moreover, fee exemption is given to physically challenged, visually impaired, war widows, children of martyred or handicapped ex-servicemen.  

The application fees have to be paid online using various methods such as debit cards, credit cards, UPI, Payment gateways, net banking, etc.
Once the fees are paid, the system will generate a special code say username or number which has to be for appearing in the entrance exams. The students must take a note of it.

Students also referred by orphanages or juvenile correction homes are exempted.

ITI Entrance Exam Pattern 2024

In general, the entrance exam is held in August. However, in some states, entrance exam is held twice a year – April and August.

Exam medium: Exam is held in two languages – English & Hindi

Exam mode: Generally the exam mode is dependent on states. In some states online exam is held. While some other states conduct offline exams.
