Mumbai University Admission 2026-27 Reservation Criteria:

The Mumbai University considers the reservation system for admission to the courses offered by them. Some of the seats in each degree programmes offered by the university is reserved for the candidates who belong to some of the special categories. The Admission Criteria at Mumbai University is quite simple and the process can be completed by the interested candidates in a few steps. The marks of the entrance examination is the main criteria for admission to the courses which are offered by the university as part Mumbai University Admission 2026-27. Some of the entrance examinations whose marks are considered by the university includes MHT CET, GATE, NET, SET, CSIR, ICAR, etc.

Admission to all the Mumbai University Courses is merit-based except for B.Sc (Hospitality and Nautical Science) for which the university conducts entrance tests.

Entrance Examination

Mumbai University provides admission on the basis of an entrance exam that is conducted by the university itself. Entrance exams taken by the university for admission in the field of management and law courses are MUCMET and MUCLAT. This exam is conducted in offline mode and includes MSQs questions. The total duration given to students to complete the exam is two hours.

Once the registration is done, the student needs to fill the application form online, and submit the same with the necessary application fee and may attach the other required documents and information.

Students need to submit the fees for application form. Fees for general category students is Rs 1000 and for reserved category students, it is Rs 500. Students can submit this fee using any mode of payment online (i.e. net banking, debit card or credit card) or offline (i.e. using demand draft).
