Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) is a state university located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Eligibility Criteria of MAFSU:

The eligibility criteria for the courses is available in the official website of the University. The selection process is through the Entrance test results.

The minimum eligibility of the courses is 10,+2 from a recognized University. For more detailed information, candidates can check the official website of the University.

For Masters in Veterinary sciences, candidates with Bachelor’s degree is eligible for admission.

The aspirants should remember that for General category, 50% of marks is eligible for admission. And for especially SC/ST candidates, 40% of marks is eligible for admission.

Additionally, candidates with Physics, Chemistry, English, Mathematics in the examination is eligible for admission in MAFSU.

To be eligible, candidates also need to appear for the entrance exam like  NEET (UG)/ MAFSU CET/ MHT CET/  ICAR AIEEA, etc for admission to courses like B.Tech, B.F.Sc, Diploma, M.Tech, etc.

MAFSU Admission 2026 Process :

The admission process of MAFSU is online and candidates need to apply online for further details. The applicants should fill in the application form before the last date.

As mentioned above, the courses offered by MAFSU is as follows:

• * MAFSU provides 3 UG courses- Bachelors in Veterinary sciences, B. tech in Dairy Technology, Bachelors in Fisheries science.
• Admission for the above mentioned courses is based on the eligibility criteria as mentioned above.
• * In Postgraduate courses, 2 specializations is available- Masters in Veterinary Sciences, M. tech in Dairy Technology.
• For PG admission, candidates with Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks is eligible to apply online.

It is mandatory to submit necessary documents to the concerned department at the time of admission.

A candidates can apply for more courses. For each additional program candidates have to fill separate form and also pay the required application fee for each of the course.

The university will not accept the unpaid application from.

Candidates who are seeking admission in B.F.Sc. or B.Tech. professional degree courses must have to appear for the MHT-CET-2026 examination which will be conducted by the Commissioner & Competent authority, State CET Cell, Maharashtra. 

For NRI candidates who have passed the XIIth std. from abroad need not appear in the MHT-CET exam.

The application procedure of MAFSU is through online. The candidates should visit the official website and download the application form available online. Candidates especially need to fill in the application form online before the due date mentioned online.

• * Once the candidates completes filling the application form, payment should be made online.
• * After completing the payment process, candidates should check the official website for details on admit card etc.

Application Fees

Students who are willing to register for admissions in MAFSU, need to deposit the fees for application form which is as below:

• General category students need to pay Rs 600 and reserved category students need to pay Rs 300.
• If students are willing to apply for an M.V.Sc. degree course, then the general category students need to pay Rs 1000, whereas, reserved category students need to pay Rs 700.
• Candidates from other states except Maharashtra need to pay Rs 1000.
