Karnataka Folklore University Admission 2024-25: KFU Last Date

The Karnataka Folklore University is currently accepting registrations for PG, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses. The deadline to apply for all courses is July 11th. Karnataka Folklore University is located in surrounding of Shiggavi Taluk, Haveri District, Karnataka. The other name of this university is Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya. It was established in 2011 by the Government of Karnataka.  But on 16^th June 2012 it was officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister Sri D.V. Sadananda Gowda.

Karnataka Folklore University is the first folk university of India and the only university in Asia which provides advance teaching, learning and opportunities to students of folklore. It not only brings the vibrant folk culture of Karnataka to the topmost level but also brings fruition the meaningful initiative of Government of Karnataka.

Admission Counselling:

Only those candidates whose name appears in the merit list prepared by the officials are invited in the admission counselling process. All the process regarding counselling are done by the authority members of the University with the help of counsellors of the University

Karnataka Folklore University Aim and Vision

Main aim of this university is to collect, compile and publish the folklore of all the communities of different areas in Karnataka and to strengthen the indigenous culture to face the challenges of globalization.

Our mission is to establish three distinctive and vital inter-related productive organs of the university — Adhyayanaanga, Samsodhanaanga and Prasaaraanga.

Course Offered by Karnataka Folklore University

Karnataka Folklore University offers PG, Certificate, PG Diploma and Diploma courses for the students. The university also offers MA, M.Sc., MBA, MVA and MPA courses at PG level.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who are interested to make admission in this university must have a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant subject from a recognized university.

The selection process will be done on the basis of Merit in the qualifying examination except MBA. In MBA there is a Entrance test which will be conducted by the university. For Diploma Candidates they must have cleared 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

Ph.D/M.Phil: Post graduation required from a recognized university

Karnataka Folklore University Application Form:

Application process in Karnataka Folklore University for all the courses starts in the last week of June 2024 and candidates can apply till the month of July 2024. Last date of submitting application is 31^st July 2024.

Candidates who are interested for admission in the university for UG & PG admission can apply through online.

First they have to fill up Online Application Form  and after that they have to pay Application Fee through the official website, the URL for this is http://janapadauni.in/

After entering in to the university website candidates have to fill all the necessary details on the form.

After that candidates must have to attach their passport size photograph and signature.

After doing all the thing candidates have to make printout of the application form and have to send the hardcopy of application form with all necessary documents to the below mentioned address.

• Candidates who are awaiting for final results may also apply. However, the final admission will be based on their obtained marks.
• The cost of prospectus and application form is Rs. 300/- (for General candidates) and Rs. 150/- (for SC/ST candidates).
