Delhi College of Engineering, originally known as Delhi Polytechnic, was founded in 1941 to meet the demand for skilled technical workers in Indian businesses who had both practical experience and solid academic understanding. DTU Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

• For UG Admissions: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board. Also must have a valid score card of JEE-Mains examination for admission in B.Tech programs.
• For PG admission: Must have a valid graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

CEE Entrance Exam

The Common Entrance Exam (CEE) is the name of the test that is given to prospective students by the university. All of the students who are interested in receiving admission into the B.Tech lateral program as well as the B.Tech evening program are required to take the exam. Following the completion of the entrance exam, there will also be an opportunity to participate in counseling.

DTU Eligibility Criteria

• For B.Tech, the applicants must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks. Also, students need to qualify for the JEE Mains.
• To pursue MBA, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks. Also, they should have appeared for the CAT exam.
• For BBA, aspirants should have qualified the class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
• For BA (hons), candidates must have qualified the class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
• To get admission into the M.Tech programme the student must have appeared for GATE. Also, he must have the Bachelor’s degree.

DTU Admission Procedure 2026

For B.Tech lateral and B.Tech evening, the selection of the aspirants is based on the entrance exam followed by Joint Admission Counseling (JAC). The candidates have to pay Rs1400 for JAC.

Merit list:

The Delhi Technology University releases the merit list on its official website. If two candidates score the same marks then the university releases a separate merit list which is named ‘Inter-se merit list.’ 

• The University considers different year GATE scores. For Example, the 2019 GATE score will be considered over 2020 and 2021 GATE scores. 
• If a student has the same GATE year and score then the highest marks will be considered. 
• If still a tie is found then the age of candidates will be considered. 
• If still a tie is found then the marks will be considered for the qualifying examination. 
• The Delhi Technology University already reserves some seats for the reserved category. 

Counseling:

The counseling session is attended by those students who have their names on the merit list that is published by the Delhi Technology University on the website. The details are published by the university on the website related to counseling. You need to submit the documents for verification and pay the admission fee also.  You need to visit the venue of counseling on a specified date and time. The university allotted seats in the counseling session. The university conducts two rounds of counseling if some seats are vacant in the first round.
