AKTU Admission 2026-27: The APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University is a public university offering admission to several UG, PG, and doctorate level degree programmes in a number of fields. The university has various other colleges affiliated to it and these universities offer admission in accordance with the guidelines issued by AKTU. Admission to the courses offered by AKTU is done on the basis of the performance of the students in the entrance examination. However, admission to some of the courses is done on the basis of the merit list prepared considering the marks scored in the qualifying examination.

It aims to provide and upgrade education, training and research in fields of technical education. The University lays a strong emphasis on knowledge creation through a well planned research programme in emerging areas and application of knowledge by undertaking issues and problems from the industry. More than 800 colleges are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.

• Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University conducts Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) to give admission. For courses such as B.Tech, B.Arch., BHMCT, BFAD and BFA UPSEE is conducted. For courses such as MBA, MCA, and MAM OMR based test is conducted by AKTU. The university also provides courses based on lateral entry. The university takes 20% of the total sanctioned seats in BTech through JEE Main. AKTU BTech admission is offered in 41 specialisations – Aeronautical Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engg. etc.

Uttar Pradesh Technical University, commonly known as AKTU Lucknow offers admission to UG, PG and doctoral courses. Admission to B.Tech is done based on JEE Main/UPSEE scores. Admission to most of the PG courses is done based on merit of the qualifying examination. At the doctoral level, the university offers Ph.D. admission to which is based on entrance test which is followed by an interview/presentation. How to check AKTU Results?

Semester results, merit lists and cutoffs for UPSEE/ GATE/ CAT/ CMAT etc are released by the university on the official website. In order to check the results, one has to visit the official website. Follow the below given steps to check the AKTU Results

1. Candidates must visit the official website of AKTU.
2. Then, Click on the ‘Results’ from the drop down menu. 
3. Click on the ‘results’ and enter your examination number
4. Enter your examination roll number along with the displayed captcha.
5. Click on ‘Submit”.
6. The result will be displayed and take a printout of the same.

Ragging is strictly banned in the university. If any student is found guilty of ragging then the committee takes very strict action. 

Punishments: 

The university can cancel your admission or declare suspension or rustication or expulsion from the university / institute. 

The committee can file an FIR to the police and arrest the student who is guilty. 

The committee can decide the most severe punishment like fine, imprisonment, etc. 

The committee can provide collective punishment where persons are not identified who are involved in the ragging.

AKTU Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech.

Candidates should have passed intermediate exam of U.P. Board or 10+2 exam with specific subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board.

For B.Tech. Lateral Entry

Candidates should have done 3 or 4 years of diploma from the University which is recognized by Uttar Pradesh Board in the field of engineering or technology with at least 60% of marks.

For B.Pharm

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 examination by securing at least 50% of marks. Candidates should have specific subject in 10+2 i.e. Physics and Chemistry and one subject from Mathematics or Bio-Technology or Biology or Technical Vocational Subject.

For B.Pharm Lateral Entry

Candidates should have done their diploma in the field of Pharmacy by securing at least 45% marks (for general and OBC category) and 40% marks (for SC/ST Category)

Application Process 2026 for AKTU

Candidates can get application form through online or offline mode.

• Candidates who wants to fill application form by offline mode, then they had to submit the form to the University address.
• Candidates who are filling application form by online mode can directly submit online.

Scholarship 2026 by AKTU

The University offers scholarships to SC/ST and OBC Category candidates.

• Students who had taken admission recently can apply online for the scholarship:
• Candidates can apply for the scholarship online by visiting the official portal. They had to visit the official page of ‘Uttar Pradesh State Scholarship’.
• Candidates had to login in that portal.
• Then they had to make a choice amongst fresh inside state option or fresh outside state option (according to their preference) otherwise had to click on renewal (inside or outside state).

AKTU Admit Card 2026

Candidates need an admit card to give an entrance examination. Candidates will not be allowed without the admit card to sit in an exam. Admit card of all applied students will be present in the website. From there they had to download it.
