University of North Bengal, popularly known as NBU was established in the year of 1962 with the mission to encourage and provide instruction for teaching, research and training in various branches of learning and course of study. University of North Bengal Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
The North Bengal University or University of North Bengal has a set of eligibility criteria which are to be fulfilled by the candidates who wish to opt for admission to the courses offered. Candidates who fail to fulfil the criteria will not be eligible for admission to the courses which are offered by the university. The university will soon release the online registration form on their official website which the candidates must submit before the last date. We have mentioned below the eligibility criteria for various courses which are offered as a part of North Bengal University Admission 2026-27.
Therefore for the B.Sc courses candidates need to carry their 12th intermediate certificate with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their subjects and atleast 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
While for the admissions in BA courses candidates need to complete their 12th examination from any recognized Board in any stream with atleast 60% marks in aggregate.
For the admissions in BA LLB courses candidates need to pass their 10+2 examination with atleast 55% marks in aggregate from any recognized Board.
Yet for the admissions in B.Ed and B.Li.Sc courses candidates need to carry a graduate degree in any field with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.
Whereas the admissions in LLM courses candidates need to complete their LL.B or integrated LL.B degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate.
Similarly, the admissions in PhD courses candidates must have a master’s degree or M.Phil degree in the relevant subject from any recognized University with a least marks needed for the admission.

• Since, the availability of LL.M application form is from August to August, 2022.
• Commencement of Entrance Exam Date is on September, 2022.
• However, Starting Date for M.Lib.I.Sc application form is from August to September, 2022.
