CIFE Admission 2026-27 | UG & PG Courses:  The university provides only 2 courses i.e M.F.Sc and Ph.D in the areas of Fisheries and Agricultural education. CIFE will be releasing their admission dates for 2026 soon. The application process for UG and PG courses will begin in February and the last date to apply is usually in july.

• In general, the Central Institute of Fisheries Education was established in the year of 1961, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
• Hence The Institute is located at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

The Central Institute of Fisheries Education provides all necessary facilities to the students such as library, hostels, sports complex, labs, girls hostel, boys hostel, cafeteria, gymnasium, shuttle service, auditorium, museum, conference hall, community hall, aquarium, well-equipped classrooms, medical facility, air-conditioned campus and many more facilities. Eligibility criteria in CIFE Admission

• In this case Students should follow some entrance tests to get admission to the Central Institute of Fisheries Education.So The admission process completes in two steps.
• Firstly it is the Departmental admission test. Here The basic eligibility is that students should have completed their 10+2 with recognized board. Hence the Candidates must have cleared some specific exams in some particular courses.
• Thus For Post Graduation Course Admission, the candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in relevant subject areas with a minimum of 60% marks can apply.
• Then For Ph.D. Courses, the aspirant candidates must have an MFSc degree in the concerned discipline with good marks from any recognized board or University.
• Also For admission into the Masters or Ph.D. programme in Fisheries, also An All India Competitive Written Examination shall be held at the Institution. Here The candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria will be able to appear at the Entrance Test. Thus For the rest of the Ph.D courses, a written test covering followed by an interview process.

The entrance test will be held at ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai.
