NUJS is considered one of the best amongst the elite national law schools in India. The university was established in the year 1999 under the act of West Bengal Govt. It offers five-years integrated program at Undergraduate level and also offers Postgraduate, Doctoral programs and Diploma in business law.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the admission process shall be completed online. The courses offered by the university i.e. BA LL.B, B.Sc LL.B, LL.M, M.Phil and Ph.D. Candidates who are willing to seek admission first read the following guidelines before filling the application form:
- He/She must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
- Self attested copies of various documents:
- Age Proof
- Qualifying examination mark sheets
- Passport size photograph
- Character Certificate
- Migration Certificate
- Medical Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Identity Card
- Payment of fees via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking
- Printout of application form
Admission to all of these courses will be based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The shortlisted candidates are requested to confirm the acceptance of seat by sending printout of application form along with required documents by email.
UG Courses
Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an examination equivalent in the first attempt. Candidates should have scored minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for general category and 40% marks in the case of SC/ ST Category and persons with disability.
