Sanskrit language is the most proficient and mother of all language, so for spreading the knowledge of Sanskrit the University was established. This is a state University located in Varanasi, U.P. It has various faculties and departments in which numerous courses are offering i.e. Veda, Shastra, Sahitya, Astrology, Philosophy at UG, PG, DiploMA, PG diploma and Ph.D. levels.
