The Saksham National Competition of 2026 hosts contests for essay, painting, and quiz on the national level. Any school affiliated to CBSE, can register itself by 10th March 2026 at the online portal of www.pcracompetitions.org . This competition can only be participated by the students of classes 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. The final date for submission is 31st March.This competition gives an opportunity to earn lots of cash prizes and also promotes education.

Instructions for the essay and painting competition.
- Participation can only be done by those schools in India which are recognised by the Central and State Board.
- The schools are expected to send in the maximum number of students who can participate in the competitions since these competitions are done in the National Interest
- Firstly, the school is expected to register themselves on the official portal of the competition that is www.pcracompetitions.org after which they can register the names of all the students who wish to participate in this competitions on the same portal. The registered students can then participate at individuals in the first round which is the school level round, from their own residence or individual schools.
- The registered schools can conduct as a competitions in only the below mentioned languages which are Hindi, English, Bengali, Assamese, Canada, Kashmiri, Gujarati, Malayalam, Konkani, Marathi, Manipuri, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Urdu, Maithili, Nepali, Bodo and Santhali. The schools should choose only languages which can be evaluated and judged by the students.
- Only the students of class 7th 8th 9th and 10th are eligible for this competition
- One student participants can participate in only one of the chosen languages but if they wish to they can participate in both essay and painting
- The essay written by the students should not be of more than 700 words
- The essay that is to be sent for participation should be handwritten by the student and scanned photo of the same should be uploaded on the web portals in the ways that are advised by school or a hard copy should directly be submitted to school.
- The topic for the essay is: One step towards green and clean energy.
- The students to register themselves between 4th January 10th March 2026 and the last day of submission is 31st March 2026
- The school is expected to evaluate and judge all the entries given by the students and then shortlist two best entries in both essay and painting and upload it on our web portal (www.pcracompetiitions.org). The school should get over with this process before 15th April 2026
- The top 2 short listed students from each then be invited to participate in the State level competition that will be conducted in online mode only. At this level of the competition, these entries will then be judged and evaluated and top 50 students from each Union Territory and State will receive attractive cash prizes and certificates.
- Short listed top 5 students from each State and Union Territory will then be invited in the National Level competition for both essay and painting, which will again be held online world top 20 students that participated National level competition will get the chance to win additional cash prizes and certificates.
Important Rules:
- The decision of the jury committee that is appointed by the PCRA on the work of the participants shall be final and binding for all the matters that relate to the competition.
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and traces of it will lead to direct disqualification.
- After submission of the entries the participants will have no right to use or edit the content they are submitted and the entries shall be the exclusive property of PCRA.
- Children of people who are employees in the PCRA are not eligible for the winning prizes.
- Students as well as schools should get over with the process by the dates mentioned strictly.

Instructions for the School Quiz Competition
- Participation can only be done by those schools in India which are recognised by the Central and State Board.
- The schools are expected to send in the maximum number of students who can participate in the competitions since these competitions are done in the National Interest
- Firstly, the school is expected to register themselves on the official portal of the competition that is www.pcracompetitions.org after which they can register the names of all the students who wish to participate in this competitions on the same portal. The registered students can then participate at individuals in the first round which is the school level round, from their own residence or individual schools.
- Only the students of class 7th 8th 9th and 10th are eligible for this competition
- Questions shall only be related to fuel conservation, environment, general studies and general knowledge.
- Participation by maximum students is encouraged since the competition is not only in the national interest but will also add to the knowledge of the students
- The school team will be formed by the best two participants which been selected by the software
- The the selected teams of two participants of each school shall then move to the second round call the state level round will be held online. They can login to the portal together at the school or at any place of the choice in the period mentioned, for which an email will be sent to the selected participants by PCRA.
- After declaration of the results at each level, the school shall be informed through the web portal itself as well as through mails.
