PJTSAU Admission 2024-25: The Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University is a state agricultural university in the state of Telangana. The university is known for offering admission to various UG, PG, and PhD degree programmes in the field of agriculture. Admission to the courses offered by PJTSAU is done on the basis of the marks scored by the university in the TS-EAMCET and PJTSAU-AGRICET entrance examination. PROFESSOR JAYASHANKAR TELANGANA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY

A state agricultural university, PJTSAU established in 2014. The primary campus is situated in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad in Telangana. It is UGC affiliated.

For undergraduates, the courses that the university is offering are B. Tech, B. Sc in food technology, home science, agricultural engineering, among others.

Other courses that the university is offering are agricultural diploma, agricultural engineering diploma, seed technology, among others.

Undergraduates must have completed their 10 + 2 exam from a reputable board for admissions. The candidates are then chosen based on the performance in Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) which is conducted every year. For postgraduates, candidates must have a degree in bachelors from the respective stream from a reputable university, and their selection is based on the marks that they have obtained in the ICAR entrance test.

Hostel facility :- There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are on twin basis for UG students while PG students have single room. The hostel is provided with sports facilities and indoor games, a reading room, Television, internet and wi-fi. Mess provides health and nutritious food.

Eligibility Criteria: For admission in PG courses, candidates must have secured a minimum OGPA of 5.50/10.00 (5.00/10.00 for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.

Admission:

The university conducts admission for various programmes in the month of June/July of each academic year on the basis of regulations that is prescribed by the University from time to time as per the rules governed by the Government of Telangana.

40% seats are reserved for children of farmers who contains not less than one acre of land and the name of the land must be either in the name of the parents or candidates. If the land is owned by other relatives will not be accepted.

• After submitting the form, the candidate will get application number which might be used in future
• A scanned photograph passport-sized in JPEG which should be less than 1 MB
• Documents must be scanned with jpeg/png/jpg only and must be less than 1mb
• The application fees for the form for candidates who are sc or st is Rs.850, and for OC/BC, the fees are Rs. 1600
• The payment for the admission form can be made via credit/debit card/ wallet or net banking.
• After the successful payment and submission of the form, the candidate can print their forms.
• A copy of the application form should be sent via post to the university address.

PJTSAU SELECTION PROCESS

The Selection process is based on the candidate’s earlier academic record and their scores in the ICAR test. 60% weightage is given to entrance marks, 30% to M. Sc marks, and 10 % weightage is given to B. Sc marks.

Seats are reserved for 40% for applicants who belong to farmers and 33% for women students from any category in any course.
