Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) has not yet released the admission dates for 2026. However, the admission process for 2022 was as follows:

HBNI 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is most important to note that, candidates should carefully check the eligibility criteria.

This is to point out that, HBNI offers PG Diploma courses in 3 different specializations: Radiation Medicine, Radiological Physics, and Medical radioisotope technique.

PG Diploma in Radiation Medicine

MBBS or similar degree from Indian Medical Council approved institute.

Besides, at least 50% of marks.

PG Diploma in Medical radio Isotope technique, Radiological Physics

B.Sc. degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Nuclear Science from a recognized institute

At least 50% marks

M.Tech, M.Sc.

M.Sc/ B.E/ B.Tech in relevant field

At least 50% marks

M.D.

MBBS or similar degree

At least 50% marks

DM, M.Ch

MD/ MS degree in relevant field from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India

At least 50% marks.

M.Phil

M.Sc. from any UGC recognized university

At least 50% marks

Ph.D.

However, a relaxation of 5% will be given to SC/ST candidates.

The Ph.D. program is offered in both modes Full time or Part-time. The minimum duration of the program is 3 years. Admission will be based on an entrance test and personal interview conducted by the university.
