Online Pass, Why is it Needed And Who All Are Required?
Online pass is a kind of slip through which an individual gets permission to travel during night curfew. This slip is issued by the Government of Delhi. So, an individual required this slip, if they want to travel during the hours of night curfew. They required to carry slip either in hard copy or in soft copy. Citizens are required to show this slip during the night curfew hours to the authorities assigned at the checkpoints. Without online pass, no one will be allowed to travel from one place to another.
As per the order by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, people who are working with government authorities are free from this order i.e. they can travel without restriction but they are required to present their office ID card during the inspection. Also, there are more people who are free from this order and the list is given below:-
- People who are working as police, prisons, home guards, fire and emergency services, disaster management, NIC, NCC, pay and account office, electricity, water, and municipal services are free from this order.
- Officers of Government of India, public corporations, officials of GNCT of Delhi that are involved involved in emergency services related to health and medical.
- People such as doctors, nurses etc. are free from this night curfew. But, they all required to present their ID card during inspection.
- Pregnant women and all patients who required medical service are allowed to travel during hours of curfew. Also, people travelling from airports, railway stations and bus stations are free from restriction, after showing their valid ticket.
Apart from those people who are free and does not need to carry online pass, there are some people who are free from this curfew restriction but needs to carry an online pass. And, for the same below is the list:-
- People who own a shop and deals with foods, groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, medical products are free from this restriction but requires an online pass.
- Person who owns petrol pumps, LPG, CNG, petroleum and gas retail and storage outlets.
- People who works in print and electronic media are required to apply for an online pass.
- Persons who are into delivery of all necessary goods such as foods, medical equipment through online website.
- Power generation, transmission and distribution units and services.
- Private security services, banks and ATMs
- Those persons also required to apply for online pass who are going for COVID-19 vaccination.
- Services of cold storage and warehousing and production of services.
How to Apply Online E-Pass on Jantasamvad Portal Delhi Night Curfew
People need to follow some steps to apply for pass and the steps are discussed below:-
Step 1. You need to visit jantasamvad.org website and there need to select ePass for Night Curfew from the menu.
Step 2. After selecting the option, you need to enter all their details asked in the form.
Step 3. After filling all the details, you need to select the type of services, such as shops, media, banks, services, and other option from the menu.
Step 4. After that users are required to fill up the date from which they want the online pass to the end date of the online pass.
Step 5. After that, you need to upload an ID Proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID Card, etc. that should be of 4MB size along with all other documents such as visiting card, office ID card, business license etc and all document must be of 4MB Size.
Step 6. After that users are required to click on the acknowledgement box and then click on submit. After submitting, users will get reference number through which users can check whether they have got their online pass or not.
