Nava Nalanda Mahavihara Admission 2026: NNM provides certification and diploma courses in three subjects along with B.A (Hons). Additionally, it offers M.A and Ph.D. in more than five specializations. Candidates applying for B.A are required to have a diploma or 10+2 degree with a minimum score of 50% and appear for the proficiency test conducted by the university. For M.A, applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and pass the proficiency test. For Ph.D., candidates should possess a Master’s degree in the specified field and clear the Research Entrance Test.

Nava Nalanda Mahavihara is a UGC approved institute, located in Nalanda, Bihar, India. It was established in the year 1951 under the government of Rajendra Prasad (He was the first president of India). This institute has various programs for its students including diplomas, certificates, Degree(B.A (Hons.), M.A, Ph.D.), and research-based diplomas. It offers specialization in Archaeology, Culture, Pali, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Japanese, and many other fields.

NNM has specific criteria for students who are going to get admission. If candidates do not meet the requirements they will not get admission. The eligibility criteria for different programs offered in NNM is described briefly. Kindly, read the information that is given below very carefully.

Students have to submit their character certificate at the time of admission and parents also have to submit an affidavit which states that their children are not included in ragging. The university provides a ragging-free campus for students. The university follows UGC guidelines that strictly forbid ragging. 

There are various facilities provided by the University to its students such as Computer Center, Central Library, Hostels, Sports facilities, Medical facilities and so on.

Hostel fees:

For male:

Rs. 100 ( One Time ) is charged for admission

Rs. 1000 ( for all ) is charged for hostel caution money / Security ( Refundable )

Rs. 30 ( for all per month ) is charged for room rent

Rs. 200 ( One Time ) is charged for maintenance

Rs. 15 ( per month ) is charged for newspapers

Rs. 50 ( per month ) is charged for crockery / utensils etc. 

Rs. 100 ( per day ) is charged for guests.

For female:

Rs. 100 ( One Time ) is charged for admission

Nava Nalanda Mahavihara Diploma:

One year diploma is offered by Nava Nalanda Mahavihara. Applicants with course certificates in the related subject, or with graduate, and postgraduate degrees may enroll in these courses. There are 40 seats available as per the rules of NNM. Diploma courses are given in these points;
