A candidate can choose any of the course from the different schools without any restrictions. There is point to be noted that SC and ST candidates will have given the 5% relaxation in the entrance exam. For B.Tech courses admission will be based on an JEE-MAins examination. For MBA courses admission will be based on CAT/MAT/GMAT scorecard. The Fees Structure provided by the university is divided into semester wise.
Some other courses are; B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Sc in Agriculture, B.Com, M.Com, M.Tech, BA, MA, LL.B, LL.M, M.Pharma and many more. Apart from these normal and traditional courses the university also provides some professional courses and creative courses also. For Postgraduate courses; a candidate should have a graduate degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. College entry is both merit-based and entrance-based. Admission to M.Sc Biotechnology is based on JNU-CEEB, the general category cut-off for which is 109.
The fees for B.Ed. course at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is Rs. 11190 (1st year fees). Candidates must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The fees for B. Tech. course is Rs. 29990 (1st year fees). For admission, the students must pass the class 12th.
For Ph.D. and M. Phil. courses; a candidate should have a Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
