Gujarat Ayurved University, situated in Jamnagar, Gujarat, holds an “A” accreditation by NAAC. The university provides undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma programs in the areas of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Pharmacy.

Founded in 1965 by an act of the Gujarat State Government, Gujarat Ayurved University is a pioneering statutory university in the area of ayurveda that offers instruction, training, and research in a number of ayurvedic specialties. In addition to undergraduate instruction, the university offers postgraduate courses in several ayurvedic areas and conducts high-caliber clinical and experimental research in the area.
The university has created courses in naturopathy, yoga, and pharmaceutical sciences related to ayurvedic medicine. Numerous foreign students from Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America are enrolled in short- and long-term courses as well as clinical training in several University departments.

Gujarat Ayurved University Admission Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates applying for Admission for courses have to visit the official website of the University. The minimum Eligibility criteria for courses is as :

• For UG level courses, candidates should have passed 10,+2 or equivalent exam with 50% marks.
• Similarly, for PG level courses, candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Based on NEET score, admission into MS and MD course happens.
• And for PhD courses, Group discussion and personal interview will be considered.

Gujarat Ayurved University Admission process 2024-25

The basic admission process of the University is Merit-based. An application form is available both online and can visit the university directly.

Diploma/Introductory course/PG diploma Admission:

Gujarat Ayurved University offers introductory courses in Ayurveda, Diploma, and Postgraduate Diplomas in various disciplines. Candidates should have passed 10,+2 with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible.

Likewise, for Postgraduate Diploma courses, candidate should be a Graduate with 10,+2 pass with 50% marks.

Additionally, University offers few certification courses and selection criteria is based on the exam conducted by the University.

Gujarat Ayurved University UG courses Admission process:

The University offers 3 courses in Undergraduate level. They are

• Bachelors of Ayurveda Medical sciences
• Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda
• Bachelor of Science(Yoga)Degree

The minimum eligibility criteria of all the courses is 10,+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as the subjects. Selection Criteria is based on the marks obtained and a Personal interview conducted by the University.

Gujarat Ayurved University PG courses Admission process:

There are four courses offered by the University at Postgraduate level. The specializations offered is Ayurveda, Medicinal plants. Candidates with minimum of 55% marks in Bachelor’s degree with relevant subjects can apply for these courses.

On Basis of NEET scores, M.S & M.D course admission happens.

Likewise, M.Pharma and M.S.C courses admission happens on the basis of Common Entrance test and personal interview.

PhD courses Admission process:

The University offers PhD courses in two specializations- Medicinal plants and Ayurved Varidhi. Candidates should have a Master’s degree with minimum of 60% marks.

The Selection process is through Personal Interview and Group Discussion conducted by the University.

Date of NEET Exam                      – January 2022

Gujarat Ayurved University Application Procedure:

The candidates should remember that Application process is available both offline and online.  Candidates need to visit the official website of the University to download the application form online.

• Before the deadline, candidates are supposed to submit all details along with the application fees.
• Added to it, candidates should submit 3 recent passport photograph in size(3.5cm*4.5cm)

The Gujarat Ayurved University provides a direct link for the students to download the merit list or you can also download it through the link which is available on the website of the university. You must keep a printout of the merit list because at the time of counseling you have to submit the merit list. The students who are selected by the university are able to attend the counseling session. You have to make the registration on the official website and also pay the counseling fee. You also have to submit the photocopy of the original documents for verification.
