GMAT Sentence Correction 2022: Graduate management admission test (GMAT). Sentence correction questions will be there in 65 minutes verbal section around 11-16 sentence correction will there. An underlined part of a sentence has 0-2 errors in that sentence. The motive of GMAT sentence correction is to test student’s ability to check grammatical mistakes, to check that students can understand a long and tough sentence with clarity. Few parts of the sentence or the whole sentence will be underlined which will have few errors students should find and correct them.

Subject/verb agreement: If the subject is in singular form than verb also must be singular form and if the subject is in plural form the verb also should be a plural form that means subject and verb both should be in the same form.
Modifiers: Verb-ing modifiers, V3 modifiers (past continues), clauses or adjectival phrases these can be tested in modifiers sentence correction.
Comparisons: Comparisons in must the sentences must be logical and comparisons must be done in the same type of items.
Pronouns: Pronoun is a word that replaces the noun, If in the sentence there is any hidden adjective on the place of noun then it is pronoun sentence correction case.

What you first need to check-in underlined portion?
Scan grammatical errors: First check that in the underlined portion of the sentence if there is any grammatical error exists if yes then first corrects that error.
Check stylistic issues: Stylistics issues such as passive voices and awkwardness in a sentence should be solved.
Meaning should not be changed: While correcting the sentence the meaning of the original sentence should not be changed.
Check the whole underline portion fits into the sentence: After correcting the underlined portion now check that if you add this portion to sentence then the meaning of the sentence is not changed it’s same. The corrected portion should fit the sentence.

Subject-verb agreement: In these types students should check the subject and the verb must match each other they should not be different.
Pronoun- antecedent agreement: In these type students should check the pronoun and its antecedent in the agreement are there or not. The antecedent is a word replaced by a pronoun.
Parallelism: Students should check whether the parallel phrases are written in the same format or not.
Modifiers: There will be an incorrect modifier student should find and correct that.
