In general , The Global Open University is an Indian university which is located in the state of Nagaland, in Dimapur and Kohima campus. In other word the University was established in the year of 2006 under the provisions of The Global Open University Act 2006 (Act 3 of 2006) of the Government of Nagaland to introduce, job, employment, and education in the North-East and the State of Nagaland. Besides these Global Open University offers affordable fees. The university has placement cell which offer placement assistance to students and increase their skills in order to shape their careers. The university placement cell is visited by top recruited like Taj Group, Lemmon Tree, Raddison, Le Meridien and many more. Admission to the university is offered on merit basis.

The university reserved some seme seats at the time of admissions such as 

• 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe category candidates
• 3% for the PWD category candidates
• 27% for the OBC category candidates 
• 15% for the SC category candidates.

The Global Open University (TGOU) admission window is expected to open for the 2024 session on 20 May 2024. The application form will be available on the university’s official website www.tgou.ac.in. The last date to apply is 30 June 2024. The admission process will be based on the scores of the entrance exam, which is conducted by the university.

The Global Open University – Admission Procedure 2024-25

1. Go through this Prospectus carefully and then select the Course(s) of your choice.
2. Fill up the Admission Form carefully.
3. Attach copies of all Certificates, Marks-Sheets, and Testimonials.
4. Get a Bank Draft made fee as mentioned in the Prospectus in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur
5. Send the completed Admission Form along with copies of Certificates and Marks-Sheets, Four Stamp Size Photographs and the Fee in the

List of REQUIRED Docs to Take Admission

 Marks sheets of 10th class, Certificate of 10th class, Marks sheets of 12th Class, Certificate of 12th Class, Graduation Degree (If Candidate), Community certificate, Migration Certificate, 4 latest stamp size photograph

GOP Admission ELIGIBILITY 2024

The common eligibility criteria of the Global Open University Admission for different courses vary from course to course.

1. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with minimum 55% marks in aggregate to be eligible to apply for BA, BSW, BBA, BHMTT, and B.Com degree program. For B.Sc. and BCA program
2. Additionally, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology as subjects in Class XII. For B.Sc. degree courses
3. candidates must have passed the subject he/she is applying for. Admission will be based on merit in the qualifying examination.
4. For admission in MBA programs, a candidate need to have a graduate degree in any discipline and the duration of this course is 2 years.
5. Two years LL.M. program- candidates who are seeking admission in this program must have Bachelor’s Law degree and admission will be based on CLAT entrance test.

GOP Dimapur University KEY POINTS

All SC/ST candidates are eligible for the loosening of 5%, Candidates with marks more than  70% in the 10+2 exams can apply for admissions directly, Candidates must have had English as one of the main subjects, Candidates seeking admission should be below the age of 20-year.

Note: Hostel facility is available for both girls and boys. The process of admission is through entrance/merit base. Submission of the fee can be done through online or offline as your personal preference. Fee submission type cash/DD.
