Dravidian University is one of the public university came into existence in 1997 with the support by the governments of Tamil Nadu , Karnataka and Kerala for integrated development of Dravidian languages and culture. It is a state type university, situated at Kuppam , Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh , India . The university has been recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The ultimate goal of Dravidian University is to foster and strengthen national integration through broader knowledge and understanding of Dravidian languages, literature, science, culture and technology. Dravidian University is located in the sylvan area of Srinivasavanam, free of pollution and esthetically attractive. As a result, the campus presents a picture of a unique blend of tradition and harmony.
The university comprises many schools as School of Comparative Literature & Translation Studies , School of human & Social Sciences, School of Education & Human Resources Development , School of Herbal Studies & Nature Sciences , School of Information Sciences & Technology and School of Commerce & Management . These all schools covers numerous fields for candidates to be chosen according their interest .
Dravidian University Fees Structure and Courses
DU offers various undergraduate , postgraduate , diploma and certificate courses in different fields . Some UG programmes are B.Sc. , BA , B.Ed, BBM , BSW etc. and PG programmes are MA , M.Sc. , M.Com, M.Ed . etc . Admissions to any course needs a good previous academic session record in the relevant subjects from a recognised institution and should acquire a valid score in any one entrance exam as EDCET /DUCET /ICET /APICET according to the course applied.
