IGNOU DECE 2022 – The university has started inviting applications for Diploma in Early Childhood Care And Education (DECE) for July session 2022. Admission to IGNOU DECE is offered through online/offline modes. Students can take any mode as per their requirements. IGNOU DECE Admissions 2022 are conducted twice a year – January and July sessions. For the July session(2022), the last date to fill the application forms is 22 September, 2022. IGNOU DECE – The Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education is a program to help those who work in the early childhood care industry become more knowledgeable and skilled. Diploma in Early Childhood care and education provides all the students theoretical and practical knowledge about the programme. This programme helps the students to learn the new way and holistic approach to learning about the early healthcare of young children (Children below the age of 6 years).
IGNOU DECE programme.
This programme aims at the development of young children who are in homes or ECCE centres or both. This course is for those candidates who are interested in working in pre-primary schools, nursery schools, creches, etc. and want to know and learn about the development of young children. Researchers have established the importance of early health and care which also means that the early years of the child are critical in the development of the children. Many factors influence the development of the child. Whereas there are some factors that influence a negative impact on the development of the child such as Lack of healthy and safe environments, inadequate nutrition, lack of stimulation and learners should know the basic factors that will affect the development of the child. When we talk about the development of the child learners should consider points such as hand, adequate nutrition, sound health, stimulation that will leave a positive impact on the development.
This programme will help the students or learners to know every important and necessary point for the early development of young children. This will help in the all-around of development. Therefore, this programme will help with skill up-gradation in the same field. Everyone who is working in the development of childhood care and education will improve their knowledge of the same. If they have done the diploma in the same field will also be of use to those wishing to set up early childhood care and education centres or managing such centres, parents, and others interested in knowing about the development of the children

What is the eligibility criteria and duration for the programme?
This programme is open for the students/learners who want to join must have cleared 10+2 examination or equivalent. This particular programme is for 1 year that is 12 months which can be taken to 4 years as per your convenience.
What is the medium of instruction and programme fee for the programme?
This programme will be taught in English, Hindi, and Tamil and the total programme fee is INR 2,400 which is twenty-four hundred that should be given in one installment at the time of admission. Fees once paid are not refundable on any account whatsoever, nor are they transferable.

This diploma programme comprises of a total 32 credits which mean each subject of the course is for 8 credits. Therefore, in IGNOU 8 credits means that a learner should spend 30 hours of studying time. So learning has to give 240 hours to complete this programme.
