The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the supreme authority responsible for preparing and change in class 10th syllabus of all the subjects concerned. Ques:- Does CGPA obtained in class 10th combined grades of class 9th and class 10th?
Ans:- In grade sheet, cum Certificate of Performance only class 10th grades are considered for CGPA obtained. No class 9th grades are included.
Ques:- Are there any changes in CBSE Class 10th Syllabus from the last year 202o-21?
Ans:- Yes, there are certain changes that have been implemented in the CBSE Class 10th Syllabus due to Covid-19. Now also in the new academic year 2023-24 the syllabus of class 10th has been reduced by 30%.
Ques:- Is there any big difference between board exam and school based examination?
Ans:- The syllabus and question paper format for summative assessment is the same for both school-based examination and board examination and is provided by CBSE. The only difference lies in the place where an examination is held, the school-based examination is conducted in the school itself while in board examination the students give examination in the centers allotted to them and also the school level based examination answer sheets are checked by the school teachers whereas the board based are centrally evaluated at the allotted centers, but both are according to the scheme provided by the board.
Ques:- Will the result for CBSE school-based and board exams come at the same or different times? Will there be any difference if the student gives a school-based or board-based examination in admission in class 11?
Ans:-The results for school held and the board held exams come at the same time. As far as CBSE is concerned there would not be any discrimination whether you give school-based or board based examination your admission in class 11 would not be affected
Ques:-How can we calculate CGPA?
Ans:- Just do the average of Grade Points achieved in all the subjects (excluding the additional 6th subject) and you will get the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
The equivalent of Grade Point and percentage of marks is calculated using the below-given method:_
Subject wise indicative percentage of marks =9.5xCGPAof the subject
Overall indicative percentage of marks =9.5x CGPA overall.
Ques:- Are schools allowed to show class 10th and class 11th answer sheets to the students?
Ans:- Schools are advised to show class 11th SA 1 and SA 2 and class 10th SA1 answer sheets to the students so that they can access themselves and can work upon their mistakes. This will also make them satisfied but for keeping the future record school might take the sheets back from the students.
Ques:-How many times chances are there for the compartment examination in class XII?
Ans:-There are three chances of compartment examination in class XII consecutively i.e., if a student appeared for 2020 examinations and placed in compartment category then he can give exam in July the same year, Second time in March/April, and Third Chance would be given in July of next year.
Ques:- Is there any difference in the level of Class 10 boards and the school exams conducted for the School-Based Assessment (SBA)?
Ans:- The design, blueprint, and difficulty level of both examinations, whether conducted by the school (under Scheme 1) or by the Board (under Scheme 2) is the same. This is ensured by CBSE.
Ques:- Can a student appear for Improvement as well as Additional subject examination simultaneously?
Ans:- It is not possible for a student to appear for Improvement of Performance in one or more subjects and appear for the additional subject at the same time.
