1.For UG Courses

• The University conducts a personality test or personal interview round for admission into the majority of UG Courses.
• Admission into B.tech is granted on the basis of AEEE i.e., Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam which can be given in both ways:- on computer or through pen and paper.
• For UG Courses like BA in Mass Communication, students are required to achieve a valid CAP score.
• For some undergraduate courses, the candidate needs to appear for the entrance exam, whereas for some courses the score of the entrance exam is not at all required.

2.For PG Courses 

• The University offers PG courses like M.tech, MSW and MBA over various specializations.
• Admission into M. Tech is provided on the basis of GATE Score.
• Admission into MSW is provided on the basis of qualifying exam and personality test conducted by the University.
• Admission into MBA is provided on the basis of CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT or CMAT.
• Admission into M. Tech+PhD is provided on the basis of AGET score. The only difference is that for M.Tech the candidate must be a graduate. For admission to the Ph.D. programs, the candidate must possess a master’s degree in the relevant field.

3.For PhD

• In order to take admission into PhD students have to appear for SLET or UGC NET exam. The complete admission for Ph.D. courses is dependent on the entrance exam and interview. The candidate has to clear both of them to be eligible for the Ph.D. courses.

Amrita University Scholarships

Mostly most of the courses are dependent on different eligibility criteria. Either of the admissions is only based on the merits acquired from the 12 exams or on the basis of the entrance exams.

To get admission in courses such as B. Tech., MBA. BDS and MBBS, candidates need to qualify the national level examination where as the admission for some other UG and PG courses done through an entrance exam conducted by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The students can apply in online mode.

• To take admission in B.Sc.( Hons.) candidates need to clear their 10+2 standard examination from any recognized Board with atleast 60% marks in aggregate and having at least 55% marks in the Science stream.

• Accordingly for the admissions of B.Tech. courses candidates have to clear their 10+2 examination having Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in each subject and having at least 60% marks in aggregate. Whereas admissions are also based on the entrance exams.

• Now for the admissions in MBA courses candidates have to complete their Bachelor’s degree from any subject with atleast 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized University.
