Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology is mainly known as the University College of Engineering. The University is approved and recognized by UGC (University Grant Commission). This University is situated in Burla, Odisha, India. This University was the first engineering college which was developed in Odisha. Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology is referred as a deemed University. The University is referred as a State University.  The University offers various courses with specific specializations in courses.

VSSUT Admission Admission Eligibility Criteria:

• For B.Tech
• Candidates should have successfully completed the 10 + 2 with specific subjects i.e. PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths)
• Admissions are also given by assessing the marks scored by the candidates in JEE Main examination.

• For M.Tech
• Candidates should have completed their B.Tech and attained a degree in the similar field. Candidates should score at least 60% marks in the final examination.
• Admissions are also given on the basis of marks scored in Gate examination by the candidate.

VSSUT Ph.D. Admission Eligibility Criteria:

Admission to Ph.D. program, candidates must have a Master’s degree or any Professional degree in the relevant field with at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from a recognized university. 

A relaxation of 5% of marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/Differently abled category. 

VSSUT Admission M.Tech Admission 2026:

• For SC/ST Category candidates, seats are already reserved.
• If Candidate wants to take admission in one than more department in M.Tech, then they had to submit the application along with fees again.

*If the candidate has performed good in competitive examinations in state level or in national level and on the basis of previous examination. The University will give awards to the candidates on the basis of their academics performance.

M.Tech Application Process:

Candidates those who had qualified the entrance test of JEE or OJEE or University Entrance Examination for taking the admission in Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, they had to register themselves online through the University’s website.

Mode of Admission:

For 4 years B.tech/5 years B.tech and M.tech dual degree (civil engineering and electrical engineering) / B.tech (lateral entry)/MCA and MCA (lateral entry) and 5 years Architecture will be done through OJEE / JEE (Main)

Admission in 2 years M.Tech: Valid GATE score is required for admission in 2 years M.Tech Programme.

Admission in 2 years M.Sc.: Through career assessment admission is done in 2 years M.Sc. It is held in July every year.

5 years Integrated M.Sc.: Entrance examination is conducted by the University / OJEE/ OJEE (Main) in july every year.

1 year M.PHIL: Entrance examination is conducted by the university.

Ph.D.: Entrance examination is conducted by the University which is followed by the interview.

VSSUT Steps to Apply 2026-27:

1. Candidates had to visit the official website i.e. http://www.vssut.ac.in/
2. Candidates are expected to register themselves through their phone number and email id.
3. When the candidates has registered themselves then they are expected to download the application from the official Website.
4. After this the candidates will be provided a code which will be used for further references.
5. The interested candidates are expected to download the application form from the University’s website and had to take out a print out and had to submit the hard copy of the application form along with their signatures on it.
6. The candidates are expected to pay the fees for the application form through DD (Demand Draft).
7. The candidates are expected that they submit the application form in an envelope and on the envelope there should be written ‘Application for Programme’ along with the department or specialization they had choose.

Mode of Selection:

Selection of Candidates shall be made through the entrance test or merit basis. An entrance test will be occured by the university.

and A viva-voce test

The written will be for 60 minutes and practical and viva voce tests will be for 30 and 10 minutes respectively.

Candidates have to secure minimum 40% of marks in the three types of tests.
