UBKV Admission 2026: The Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya offers admission to several UG, PG, and research level degree programmes in the field of agriculture. Candidates who wish to be a part of the university must ensure to submit the online registration from. The online registration form for UBKV Admission 2026-27 is expected to be released in the month of April 2026.

Application forms are invited online from eligible candidates domiciled in the State of West Bengal for admission to 4 years B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture courses for Main Campus at Pundibari, Coochbehar and College of Agriculture at Majhian, Dakshin Dinajpur under the University for the Academic Session 2026 -25. It is approved by UGC, AICTE and even ICAR. This institute offers Bachelor of Science in two departments: BSc (Agriculture, 4 years); BSc (Horticulture, 4 years). The university also has five faculties: Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry which offer selected UG and PG courses. Aspirants can register via online process by filling and finalizing form along with application fee. The last date for the application process for the B. Tech program was 31st July, 2026.The university conducts an entrance exam (WBJEE, JEE Mains, etc.) for admission to M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs.

The university provides various facilities like hostel, library, computer, farm facilities, hands on training, teaching, evaluation, and many more.

The University also provides placement facility to the students and has developed separate cell that manages all the activities related activities. It provides training to students to develop their personality and soft skills.

UBKV APPLICATION Form 2026-27

The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya will release the online registration form on their official application portal. Candidates who wish to pursue their pursue their career in the field of agriculture and wish to pursue their degree through UBKV Admission 2026-27 must ensure to submit the form. Once the form is released by the university, we will be mentioned the steps which you can follow to submit it.

• Candidates seeking admission needs to visit the official website of the university.

(Forms are not available for the offline users)

• Secondly, after submitting the application form candidates need to navigate themselves to fill the fee form.

(fee amount for General and OBC category is INR 500 and fee amount for ST/SC/PWD category is INR 125)

• Candidates can pay the application fee through online as well as offline mode after filling the valid details.

(online mode includes via Debit card, Credit Card or Net Banking facility

UBKV UG Application Form 2026

• Passport size photograph (Minimum size 50 kb and Maximum size 100 kb),
• Signature of the candidate (Minimum size 20 kb and Maximum size 50 kb)
• Higher Secondary Mark Sheet with self-attested (Maximum size 200 kb to 300 kb)

UBKV Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

There are certain basic eligibility criteria which are to be fulfilled by the candidates who are willing to opt for admission to the courses which are offered by the university. Candidates who fail to adhere to the basic eligibility criteria set by the university for UBKV Admission 2026-27 will not be offered admission to the courses. We have mentioned below the basic eligibility criteria for various courses which are offered by the university.

For admissions in bachelor of science:

• Candidates should have done high school exams with physics, chemistry and biology, Agriculture, Horticulture or Vocational Agriculture. Aspirants can adopt Horticulture + combination as an elective subject from a recognised institute or university.
• Secondly, candidates need to have at least 60% of aggregate marks in his/ her higher secondary exams.

(50% of aggregate marks for candidates of reserved category.

• Candidates must have achieved 16 years of age or above to secure admission in bachelor of science courses.
• Candidates form Vocational stream must secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in high school examination.

At the time of counselling, candidates should have to submit the original copy of documents mentioned below:

1. Mark sheets of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations
2. Admit card or certificate of Madhyamik examination
3. Character certificate from the Head of The Institution from where he/she has passed the last exam.
4. Certificate of caste or category if applicable
5. Residential certificate from authorized authority
6. Four copy of passport size photograph of candidate

UBKV COURSES 2026-27

1. B. Tech: As this is a bachelor course, candidates must have high school mark sheet with minimum 45% marks and in additional to that he/she should have appeared in WBJEE exam.
2. PhD (Doctorate Course)- This is a higher-level degree; candidate needs to hold all the necessary certificates of post-graduation.
3. MSc: This master course demands certificate of graduation.
4. BSc: This course demands mark sheet of high school.
5. BSc (Agriculture): Candidates need to carry his/her Higher Secondary mark sheets to get admission in this course.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Applicants have to full fill their eligibility criteria to get admission in desired stream.

UBKV Admission of Foreign Students:

In the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programme there shall be a maximum of two seats per Department under the Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture. At the Undergraduate level, there shall be a maximum of 5 seats per Faculty per course over and above the normal intake. Admission of foreign students shall abide by Foreigners (Amendment) Order, 2016 read with Foreigners Act, 1946 (31 of 1946).
