To get admission to the top colleges of Maharashtra, students must have scored with the Jee or MHT CET cut off marks. In addition, candidates must have passed the class 12 examination from a recognized board with main subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. - Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai : ICT, Mumbai is a government-funded university in Mumbai, India. Focused on education and research in chemical engineering, chemical technology and pharmacy. In the recent rankings of 2022, ICT Mumbai has been placed at the 7th position among the NIRF Pharmacy Category and at the 155th rank in the QS Asia University Rankings 2021.
- Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur : VNIT was founded in 1960. The institute was designated an Institute of National Importance in 2007. Institute is named after an eminent engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The institute confers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in engineering, technology, architecture, and science, with admission via the JEE (Main), GATE, JAM, CSIR-UGC NET etc.
- Defense Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune (DIAT) : It is the premier engineering training institute under the Ministry of Defence’s specializes in the training of officers for Defense Research Organizations, IOFS (Indian Ordnance Factories), Defense Public Sector Undertakings, shipbuilding agencies such as Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Cochin.
- College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) : CoEP is an autonomous institution located in Pune, Maharashtra and was established in 1854. The institute is affiliated with Savitribhai Purna Vishwavidyalaya Pune (SPPU) and recognized by AICTE. The admissions are based on the marks secured in the combined Maharashtra CET and HSC boards. These admissions are conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Several admissions to direct second-year BTech courses are also shown for those candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering at different polytechnic institutes in Maharashtra. These admissions are conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by DTE itself.
- Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune MIT World Peace University is a private state university founded in 1983. It is also known as MIT World Peace University and MIT WPU Pune. - Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pune Dr Patangrao Kadam founded the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering in 1983. Bharati Vidyapeeth is “a world-class university for social transformation through dynamic education.” accredited to A+ by ‘NAAC’ in its third cycle in 2017. NIRF 2020 ranks 99th at the national level.
- Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, is a self-governing institute in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust runs the institute, founded in 1983 and is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University.
