University of Calgary (9th)
In 1994, the University of Calgary was founded as the Calgary branch of the University of Alberta. The university separated since then and has now five campuses with nearly 35,000 students. According to the QS World University, the University of Calgary ranked 9th in the Top 10 Canadian Universities and the University of Calgary secured 246th in the world ranking for universities.
Queen’s University (9th)
Queen’s University is located in Kingston, Ontario. It has secured 9th position in the Top Canadian Universities. Queen’s University has dropped its position 246th, seven places according to the previous year records. It has been ranked 99th worldwide in the employer reputation indicator. The University has more than 24,000 students. According to the survey, the students who graduated from Queen’s University are employed within six months of graduation.
Western University (8th)
Western University was established in 1878 and has more than 35,000 students. The University grabbed 8th place in the world university rankings this year to reach up to 203rd. Western University is considered one of the top Canadian universities. The University performs extremely amazingly in the citation per faculty and employer reputation indicators.
University of Waterloo (7th)
The University rose seven places in the world ranking and managed to stay in seventh place in Canada. The University of Waterloo secured joint 166th position in the world rankings. Considered as one of the best universities in Canada, it secured 7th position on Top 10 universities in Canada. The university is also performing well in the employer reputation indicator as it is placed 85th worldwide. Established in 1956, University of Waterloo has three campuses in total. University of Waterloo is a member of the U15 research group.
McMaster University (6th)
The University dropped four places in the rankings this year. In the world university rankings, the university grabbed 144th place. McMaster University ranks the highest in the international faculty indicator. McMaster University is known for its medical school. McMaster University islocated in Hamilton.
University of Alberta (5th)
The University stands at 119th place in the world rankings. More than 40,000 students are enrolled in the University of Alberta and comprise four campuses. The highest score grabbed by the university is in the international faculty indicator.
Universite’ de Montreal (4th)
The University of Montreal grabbed the fourth position in the world rankings taking the place of the University of Alberta. The University was established in 1878 and has over 67,350 students. It has nearly 1000 international students. The University of Montreal is a public research university.
University of British Columbia (3rd)
The University of British Columbia grabbed 3rd position in the Top 10 Universities in Canada. The university ranked 45th in the world rankings. In the academic reputation indicator, the University of British Columbia ranked 28th.
McGill University (2nd)
The University is located in Montreal. McGill University secured 2nf position in Top Universities in Canada. The University climbed four places in the world rankings.
University of Toronto (1st)
Again this year, the University of Toronto ranked 1st in the Top Universities in Canada. The university rose four places in this year’s rankings. The University of Toronto has gained high scores in all the indicators.
