TNJFU Admission 2024-25: The Tamil Nadu Fisheries University is a government fisheries university offering admission to several UG and PG degree programmes. B.F.Sc., B.Tech., BBA, B.Voc., M.Tech., MBA, M.F.Sc., and PhD are a few of these. The candidate must have completed senior secondary school from the CBSE or any other recognised board in order to be admitted to undergraduate studies. The online registration form for TNJFU Admission 2024-25 is expected to be released in the month of May 2024.

TNJFU ranked as No. 1 State Agricultural University in Tamil Nadu and 25th among the SAUs in India by the ICAR, New Delhi. The admission process for MBA FEM course for the academic session 2020-21 has commenced.  In due course of time, the TNJFU have gained widespread recognition as University of excellence.

TNJFU Admission 2024-25 Courses

There are a number of courses which are offered as part of TNJFU Admission 2024-25 at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and the research level. BTech, BFSc, BBA, BVoc, MTech, MBA, MFSc., etc. are some of the courses which are offered by the university. Candidates who wish to opt for TNJFU Admission 2024-25 must ensure to submit the form before the last date by visiting the official website of the university. The university will soon release the online registration form on their official website for the candidates to submit it.

Admission to the courses offered by the university is done on the basis of the merit list which the university will prepare considering the marks scored by the candidates in their qualifying examination. The university will be releasing the form for admission in the month of May 2024. The expected last date to complete the online registration for TNJFU Admission 2024-25 is 15 June 2024.

The Tamil Nadu Fisheries University offers admission to a number of undergraduate degree programmes in the field of fisheries technology. Number of Attempts The maximum number of attempts made in passing the qualifying examination is limited to three for SC/SCA/ST candidates and two for other candidates. The improvement marks in HSC or equivalent examination of any year will not be considered. However, these conditions are not applicable to the candidates applying for B.Voc. (Industrial Fish Processing Technology) course. III. AGE LIMIT Candidates  applying  for  the  above  said  courses  (except  B.Voc.)  should  not  have completed the age mentioned below as on 01-07-2019: ·     SC/SCA/ST Candidates               :         No age limit ·     Other candidates                       :         21 Years Note:   There is no age limit to the candidates applying for B.Voc. (Industrial Fish Processing Technology) course. IV.  RESERVATION Selection shall be made for different categories such as Open Competition, Backward Class,  Backward Class (Muslims),  Most  Backward  Class  /  Denotified  Communities,  Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyars and Scheduled Tribe, following the rules of reservation of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The list of communities eligible to compete against the reserved quota is furnished in the Appendix-I (List of Communities).

There are a number of basic eligibility criteria which are to be fulfilled by the candidates who are willing to be a part of TNJFU Admission 2024-25. 10 + 2 passed from a recognized board or equivalent exam for TNJFU
M.F. Sc.
B.F. Sc. degree from TNJFU or equivalent degree

B.V.Sc

10 + 2 passed from a recognized board in any stream.

Moreover, the upper age limit for candidates is 21 years.

However, there is no age limit for reserved and B. Voc candidates

Moreover, the number of attempts is 2 for general candidates and 3 for reserved candidates.

However, this is not for B. Voc candidates.

After that, submit the application fee.

Submit all the required documents and get your photograph attested by a Group A or Group B officer.

Moreover, the candidate must also submit a declaration signed by his/her parent/guardian.

Do take original documents and hard copy of all the documents for the admission and counseling rounds.

TNJFU Scholarship

Tamil Nadu Fisheries University offers different types of scholarships to students who are eligible according to their performance. 

• For undergraduate students who belong to SC/ST category receive the scholarship from Government of India and Tamil Nadu. They also receive scholarships from Indian Council of Agricultural Research and also from the Pattukottai Azhagiri Endowment Scholarship.
• For Masters and Doctoral Level students:
• Students studying M.F.Sc. and M.Tech courses, who cannot avail any scholarship are eligible to avail University stipend of Rs 4000 per month, whereas, students studying PhD courses can avail University stipend of Rs 5000 per month.
• There are also other government scholarship for Masters students i.e. Adi-Dravidar Welfare Scholarship, etc.
