Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit – SSUS Admission 2024-25

The Motto of the university is ‘liberation through knowledge’ which is a public state university located in kalady in Kerala. The institution has nine centres that are Payyannur, Koyilandy, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Panmana, Thuravoor, Tirur, Ettumanoor And Kalady which is the main campus of the University. It is one of the pioneering Sanskrit Universities in India in teaching, innovations and research. The University has various departments which are history, painting, education, Arabic, Hindi, political science, Sanskrit Nyaya, psychology, geography, English, Music, etc. The University also consist different faculties such as Sanskrit Literature, Indian Metaphysics, Indian Logic, Sanskrit Grammar, Other Sanskrit Studies, Indian Languages, Arts & Social Sciences, Foreign Languages, Science, Technology and Education and Indology. The university provides hostel facilities for boys and girls separately. Reservation of seats will be as per government/university rules and UGC guidelines.

11. The duration of BA programme shall be minimum of 3 years and consists of 6 semesters . The duration of BFA programme shall be minimum of 4 years and consists of 8 semesters.

SSUS Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit hall ticket

1. The candidates who want to download the hall ticket of the university should visit the official site of the university or can simply go on this link below https://ssusonline.org/ssusonline_pg/hallticket.php 
2. A page will open in front of them where the candidates will have to fill in their registration number and the password correctly to download the hall ticket of the university. 
3. After logging in the admit card or the hall ticket will occur in front of them which will hold various information about the candidate. 
4. Candidates will have to check all the details and report to the University administration if some fault is found in the admit card. 
5. The candidates will have to take out at least two printouts of the hall ticket for future references. 

SSUS Eligibility criteria for different courses

1. Students who wish to pursue MFA in visual arts should have completed their graduation and should hold a bachelor’s degree in the fine arts section by a renowned university with an average of 55% marks. 
2. Candidates who wish to pursue MA in Malayalam, Sanskrit Nyaya, Hindi, Comparative literature and linguistics, English  language and literature, etc . Should have cleared their entrance examination and the interview which is conducted by the university for them and they should also hold a Bachelor‘s degree in their respective fields. 
3.  Candidates who wish to pursue Music programmes in the University should have appeared for the practical examination, for further more details the candidates can look into the official website of the university. 
4. The university conducts a practical examination for the candidates who wish to pursue MA theatre and MA dance. 
5. Candidates who wish to pursue BA courses should have completed their 10+2 from a known board. 
6. Candidates who wish to pursue BFA should have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board
7. . Aspirants who are willing to seek admission in PhD should have completed a poster graduation and should hold a degree in their respective fields. 
8. Candidates who want to take admission in MSc. Courses should hold a bachelors degree and should have completed their graduation in their respective fields. 

Admission:

Age should not be more than 22 years on the 1st day of June. Candidates who are from Sanskrit or non-Sanskrit are eligible to apply. 

An aptitude test will occur for admission in B.A. Music, B.A. Dance (Mohiniyattam / Bharatnatyam), and BFA courses.  

Each program has a semester system. The odd semester shall be held from JUNE to OCTOBER and even semester shall be held from DECEMBER to APRIL.

Exam Pattern

• The questions asked in the entrance examination is MCQs Based
• For every wrong answer, there is no negative marking 
• The examination is of total 100 marks

The admission counseling process of the Shri Shankaracharya University of Sanskrit is done under the supervision of authority members of the University and along with the supervision of the counselor members of the University also.

Merit List : The merit list of Shri Shankaracharya University of Sanskrit prepared according to the selection criteria and according to the different courses offered by the University is easily appeared on the official website of the University i.e (www.ssus.ac.in).
