Sikkim University Admission 2026-27: The Sikkim University is a central university offering admission to several UG, PG, Certificate, and research level degree programmes in a number of fields. The CUET UG and CUET PG entrance examinations are the only way through the students can opt for admission to the courses offered. The online registration form for Sikkim University Admission 2026-27 is expected to be released in the month of April 2026.

Sikkim University is allowing for provisional admission for different PG Courses. The candidates have to make the online payment from the university website (https://cuscuet.samarth.edu.in/pg/)

   The candidates must appear for the CUET 2026 examination and register for it on the NTA portal from 9th February to 12th March 2026. Now, the date to register for these UG courses has been moved further. The students can fill out the application form till 30th March 2026.

There are chances of the admission being canceled if you fail to pay the fees and fail to submit the required documents on time. 

Sikkim University is a central university. it is located in Gangtok. The campus is built at Yangang in South Sikkim district, it is far from 56 kilometers from Gangtok. The main administrative office of the University is located at Samdur. The vision of this university is to achieve intellectual, academic, and cultural development of the people of Eastern Himalayas.

Sikkim University has released a notification for the selected students for provisional admission to different UG Courses. Such students have to make online payments using the university website till 28th October 2026 https://cuscuet.samarth.edu.in/index.php

Sikkim University is conducting the final counseling to fill up the vacant seats in different CERTIFICATE/UG/PG programmes.
The eligible candidates who have appeared in CUET and applied online and could not get admission in the 1st and 2nd admission lists can attend the counseling.

Sikkim University offering admissions to candidates at UG, PG, MPhil, and Ph.D. levels in the streams of Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, Accounting & Commerce, Business & Management Studies, Mass Communication & Media, Law, and Hospitality & Travel.

Sikkim University Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses

Candidates who have passed Class XII with at least 45% aggregate marks fulfill Sikkim University eligibility criteria for UG course admissions. Candidates who possess a graduation degree are eligible to apply for PG courses offered at the university. 

Admission Process Sikkim University for UG & PG Courses

While giving admission in UG and PG courses, Sikkim University considers the marks of the candidates in the complete course examination. Once the merit list is released, the candidates need to attend counseling and complete the admission process.

However, it may be noted that some PG courses offered at Sikkim University such as MBA, MSc Chemistry, M Com, and MCA also require candidates to appear for entrance tests conducted by the varsity.

Sikkim University Application Process for UG & PG Courses

Candidates can apply at Sikkim University in the online mode by filling and submitting the application form on the official website of the varsity. After filling the form, candidates also need to pay the application fee either online (via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking) or offline (via SBI Challan) mode.

The online application fee for the Ph.D. course is INR 1000 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates and INR 500 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. The fees can be paid via a Debit Card /Credit Card or any other mode of digital transaction.

Candidates can download Sikkim University admit card from the official website of the varsity. It may be noted that candidates must carry the admit card at the allotted exam center. 

Admission Cycle for UG & PG Courses

Sikkim University admission dates have not been announced yet. The complete admission schedule is going to be notified as soon because the dates are declared.

However, Sikkim University applications for all courses where admissions are held based on merit are usually out in April/May every year. Also, the academic sessions for most courses commence from July every year. However, for the current year the admission form is expected to release during the month of July. The application form will be realising in the online mode this year.
