SASTRA is a deemed university was established in 1984 as Shanmugha College of Engineering. later on SASTRA renamed as SHANMUGHA ARTS, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY & RESEARCH ACADEMY. Although SASTRA is recognition by UGC and NAAC with grade “A”. Moreover, SASTRA has also been ranked high by Times Higher Education. The university’s placement cell has also been one very important part of the university specially for all the graduates or final year students. This cell focuses on enhancing public speaking, providing career guidance and other training which will help the students to get the best of placement and even work with the best of their capabilities. Eligibility Criteria

Therefore all candidates have to understand the following eligibility criteria.

SASTRA University Courses offered

UG Course:

B.Tech: All candidates must have passed higher secondary with 60% aggregate marks in their relevant subjects such as Physics, Maths and Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology from a recognized board.

Apart from this, students also qualify the JEE main exam.

B. Tech (Lateral): As all the students must have passed 10^th + 3-year diploma in engineering with a sum of 50% marks also with students must have passed JEE main exam.

B.Com: Although the student needs to have passed the 10+2 examination in Commerce with an aggregate of 50% marks.

BBA: Although the candidate must have cleared the Higher secondary examination with minimum 50% marks.

B.A-B.Ed.: All the students must have passed higher Secondary examination.

B.Sc.-B.Ed.: Although all the students must have cleared 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination.

PG Course:

M.Tech: As the Students must have a Bachelor degree in their respective Specialisation from a recognized university.

Besides, candidates have to be qualify GATE exam.

M.Sc.: Since all students must have a Bachelor degree in Science with their respective subjects.

MBA: Although all students must have an undergraduate degree with an aggregate 50% marks. Along with the candidate’s admission is also depend on any of the CAT/XAT/CMAT Score.

BA LL.B & B.COM LL.B & BBA LL.B: As all the students must have passed 10+2 examination. Furthermore, student’s admission is also based on CLAT Score.

Ph. D: Although all the students should have a master degree in their specialisation such as Engineering / Technology / Management / Pharmacy / Science / Arts / Computer Applications with aggregate 55% marks.

Moreover, students who have completed CA with 2-year experience can also apply for P Ph. D degree.

Besides, students with bachelor degree along with 60% marks can also apply for Ph.D. programs.

B.Tech + M.Tech: Those students want to B.Tech + M.Tech must have cleared 10+2 with aggregate 75% marks even also have to qualify JEE main exam.

SASTRA University Admission form 2024

Admission Process started for the Academic year 2024.

Therefore steps to apply:

Admission form can be submitted either online from their website portal or offline from the SASTRA University campus with requested documents.

For an online process, the application fee can be submitted through available payment options of Rs.600/-.
In case of the offline process, students can pay the application fee through demand draft of Rs.600/- in favour of SASTRA University which has to send along with the application form.
Lastly, students have to clear after the entrance test for Admission.

Deposit of Certificates:

Documents verification will be made at the time admission. You need to carry all the essential original documents along with the application form and also attested copies of mandatory documents. These original documents will be handed over immediately to the candidate. Please also carry a set of your passport size photograph.
