SU is a State University that was established in 2008 as Sarguja University (SU). Sarguja University proposes various courses in M.A. M.Sc, LL.M along with diploma courses in Pharmacy. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA, SURGUJA AMBIKAPUR (FORMERLY SARGUJA  VISHWAVIDYALAYA) is established and incorporated by Chhattisgarh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam No. 18 of  2008 on September 2nd, 2008. The territorial jurisdiction of the University extends to the entire Sarguja Division comprising of five revenue districts. This Consist of Korea, Surguja, Jashpur, Surajpur, and Balrampur. The University was established to serve the society through dissemination of knowledge in all the disciplines.  the University is recognized by UGC, AICTE, BCI, PCI, and accredited by NAAC.  The university is also a model of higher education learning and personality development.

A candidate, who downloads his application form from the University Website shall be required to submit (a DD cost of rupees 350/- in favor of REGISTRAR, SARGUJA UNIVERSITY, AMBIKAPUR payable at Ambikapur or a receipt of of rupees 350/- obtained from the University against application/admission form  fee) along with his/her application form in the office of the concerned Department/ College.

Students can download the Prospectus (application structure) accessible on the college site or acquire it face to face from the college confirmation office. Admission to the PG programmes offered as part of Sarguja University Admission 2026-27 is generally offered on the basis of the merit list prepared considering the marks scored in the qualifying examination. Only the candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree are only eligible for admission to the postgraduate degree programmes offered by the university. The candidates should have completed their degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in a field in which they want to pursue their postgraduate programme.

Sarguja University Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

There are certain basic eligibility criteria which are to be fulfilled by the candidates who are willing to opt for Sarguja University Admission 2026-27. Those who fail to fulfil the criteria will not be offered admission to the courses offered by the university. We have mentioned below the basic eligibility criteria for several degree programmes offered as part of Sarguja University Admission 2026-27.

M.A. – Although, the Students must have a bachelor’s degree with Hindi as their compulsory subject. Meanwhile, admission is based on the merit list.

M.Sc.: As all students must have an undergraduate degree in B.Sc in respective subjects with aggregate 45% marks.

Furthermore, admission is based on an entrance test conducted by the University.

LLM: Since all students must have Cleared LL.B with minimum 55% marks.

Besides students need to qualify the university entrance test CG-PPHT.

Diploma in Pharmacy: The candidates must have passed 10+2 with maths & biology as their main subjects with second Division.

Sarguja University Internship Programs

The university providing internship programs for eligible candidates after completion of their degree or PG degree program. A successful completion of all the theory and practical courses is a pre-requisite to enroll for an internship program. The interns are paid an amount of Rs. 500/- per month as an internship allowance.
