The Ravenshaw University is a State Government University. It was established in the year 1968 as a college and in the year 2006, it was confirmed as a university. Ravenshaw University Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

There are a set of basic eligibility criteria set by the Ravenshaw University for admission to various courses which are offered by them. Candidates who wish to opt for admission are required mandatorily to submit the form before the last date. (iv) For B.Sc. (ITM)–50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination (Higher
Secondary (+2) Science) with Mathematics as a subject without the mark in extra optional,
if any
or
Three-year Diploma in Engineering (with 50% marks) from an institution recognized
by State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Odisha.
(v) For B.Sc. (DSM) – 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination
(Higher Secondary (+2) Science) with mathematics as a subject without the mark in extra
optional, if any
(vi) For B.Sc. – 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination (Higher
Secondary (+2) Science) without the mark in extra optional, if any. However, a student
without Mathematics as optional subject cannot apply for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
or Statistics Honours, and a student without Biology as optional subject cannot apply for
Botany or Zoology Honours.
(vii) The demand of the differently-abled candidates wanting to opt for Honours
subject with lab / practical shall be entertained only after they seek the necessary approval
of the Medical Board constituted by the university.

(viii) The minimum marks for eligibility, as mentioned in (i) to (vi), are relaxed by 5%
for SC / ST candidates.
(ix) A candidate has to secure exactly 50% or more than 50% to be eligible to apply
for a subject. No fraction of percentage below 50% shall be taken into consideration

(xii) All the admitted students are required to fill up the online anti-ragging undertaking
form at www.antiragging.in or www.amammovement.org positively and submit proof of the
same.
IMPORTANT: (i) The photocopies of all documents should be self-attested by the
candidate, (ii) Submission of incorrect information with intention to commit fraud may lead
to cancellation of admission, and make a candidate liable for criminal proceedings.

            After attachment of all the documents make sure of the following:

• The candidates must reconfirm and check whether all the details submitted by them are correct
• Now pay the fee of the application form
• Take-out the printout of the payment confirmation which is system generated
• Candidates need to submit the application form and again take out the printout for future reference.

Ravenshaw University Admission 2026-27 Selection Criteria

Admission will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. Allotment of Honours subject will be done on the baisis of aggregate scores in the qualifying examination.

If the candidate does not participated in the counselling session, then the admission for that particular candidate will stand cancelled.

After the candidate is given admission into an Honours subject, then the candidate has to register themselves for two electives on the basis of availability of seats.

General notes:

Candidates who are eligible to appear to the university examination, they have to secure at least 75% attendance. If university finds any student’s shortage of attendance then he/she can be debarred form the examination.

If a student is not allowed to sit for the 1st-semester examination due to a shortage of attendance, then he/she cannot appear for the 2nd-semester examination.

• The university has the right to make changes in the number of seats if required.
