Sri P V Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University is a State University. It is a UGC approved University. It was founded in 2014. It is located in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It offers various courses at UG, PG, Ph.D, and Diploma level. Every course is available in various specializations. The University has begun its Admission process for the 2026 session. Candidates who want to take admission in any of the courses should first satisfy all the criteria set by the institute. The University comprises Five Veterinary, Two Dairy Technology and One Fishery college, Fourteen Research Stations, Eleven Polytechnics, Two Krishi Vignan Kendras and Two Veterinary Hospitals.
The hostel is well maintained and good. Sports and games are well maintained. Students are encouraged to play in inter-university. Hostel food is good and student mess is available.
Faculty members are qualified and well trained. The university placements are depend on the government.

University offers two programs at UG level. These programs are B.Tech and B.V.Sc & AH. Both programs have their own eligibility criteria. Both of these programs are available for full time. Students who wants to take Admission in any of these course should have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and the selection will be done on the basis of score in TS-EAMCET.

The University also provides M.V.Sc and Ph.D. programs to their students. Both of these programs are available to the students in various specializations. The minimum eligibility criteria for taking Admission in M.V.Sc is that candidates must have B.V.Sc & AH degree from a recognized University. For taking Admission in Ph.D. program, aspirants should have M.V.Sc degree from a recognized University.
