Purnea University Admission 2026-27 : – Purnea University was established in the year 18th March 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. Currently Purnea is a centre of education in the North-East Bihar region. Purnea University comprises of 15 constituent colleges, 33 affiliated colleges including B Ed, Engineering, Management institutions spread across Purnea Division. The University consist of different faculties i.e. Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Commerce. There are different departments under these faculties that specialized in specific areas. Purnea University comprises 15 constituent colleges, 33 affiliated colleges including B Ed, Engineering, Management institutions spread across Purnea Division. The University consists of different faculties i.e. Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Commerce. all under graduates’ courses are running in all 15 constituent colleges while Post graduation courses are running under the PG Department of Purnea University,

Purnea University, Purnia which was carved out of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura on 18th March 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. The university has 13 constituent colleges, 33 affiliated colleges including B.Ed, Engineering, Management and Medical institutions spread across Purnea Division. The academic programs and courses of this university are special and different from other universities, also here the faculty team is well educated and experienced their teaching methods are unique and easy to understand, students who are looking for a friendly and comfortable environment then must try to get admission in this university. 

For undergraduate courses, the students must have passed class 12th from any recognized board. For post-graduate courses, the student must have a valid degree from any recognized university. Purnea University Admission 2026-27

Purnea University offers Under graduations, Postgraduation and Ph.D. courses. All under graduates courses are running in all 15 constituent colleges while Post graduation courses are running under PG Department of Purnea University, Purnea College and D S College Katihar under five Faculties, while Ph.D. courses are imparting only in the Departments of Purnea University under five Faculties. This university was founded in spreading education among areas of Purnea and other areas. Post Graduation and Ph.D. Courses: University offer PG admission in about 40 PG courses through advertisement and online application in both the semesters. We have introduced CBCS system from the academic session 2018-19. We are also offering Ph.D in 21 courses as per UGC guidelines. Professional Courses: The admission in medicine for MBBS is done through NEET and for PG course the guideline is issued by university from time to time. For Undergraduate Engineering Courses the admission is conducted by combined test of Bihar state government. For B.Ed. Course the combined test is being conducted in supervision of Raj Bhawan.

The University is planning soon to open its Conference halls, Sports and Cultural areas, Libraries, Offices etc since its operating in the campus of Purnea college.

Admission Guidelines:

All fees deposited by the candidates at the time of registration will not be refunded under any circumstances. Cast and income certificate should be verified on Government website. If any candidate gets admission on the basis of incorrect information or improper means or on the basis of false marksheet, then the admission for that particular candidate will stand cancelled from the beginning and legal action will be taken against that candidate under IPC.
