Admission Eligibility Criteria of Pondicherry University.
However, to take admission to Ph.D. courses candidates have to complete their Master’s degree from any recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Whereas the admission is also based on the entrance exam conducted by the University.
Moreover to take admission to M.Tech courses candidates have to complete their BE/B.Tech Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
Therefore to take admissions in Integrated MA/M.Sc. courses candidates have completed their 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized board.
Whereas to take admissions in MCA and MBA courses candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects with at least 55% marks in the aggregate from any recognized University.
Similarly to get admission in MPA courses candidates have to clear their Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
In general some of the courses are also based on the entrance exam and Personal Interview ( PI ) and Group Discussion ( GD ). To score good marks in the entrance exam is very important for the candidates to get admitted to the University.
The syllabus and pattern for the entrance exam are mentioned in the notification regarding the examination.
The students must first understand the examination pattern and structure before starting the preparation.
Seats Reservation:
In different affiliated colleges 1 to 41 seats are available for the students who study PhD courses.
30 to 168 seats are available for the students who study PG courses.
19 to 72 seats are available for the students who study Post Diploma courses.
Note: The university provides a grievance redressal cell facility for the student so that students can register their complaints.
