PM Scholarship for 12th pass students 2024 is introduced to help dependent wards and widows of CARPF & Assam Rifles in their professional and technical education. Our Honorable Prime Minister has announced various schemes and scholarships that come under PM scholarships for the welfare of the Indian students and helping in the development of the society. Various schemes that come under the PM scholarship 2024-25 are:
- PM Scholarship for 10th passed out students
- PM Scholarship for PhD
- Scholarship Scheme by PM for 12th pass students.
- PM Scholarship for engineering students
The most famous of all, Pradhan Mantri Yojana Modi Scholarship (PMSS). Under this scholarship, the amount will be equally distributed among the selected 81 students who will get the scholarship. Out of which 41 will be boys and 41 will be girls. The selected candidates will be awarded a scholarship every year. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the meritorious students and also to those who need them the most.
It is a small step taken to achieve something bigger in the future, designed and run by Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sainik Board Secretariat, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Students who wish to opt for the PM Scholarship 2024 are required to complete the registration by visiting the official website of the authority before the last date. There are certain documents which you are required to submit while submitting the online registration form. PM Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria
PM scholarship after 12th is offered at a different level for students studying in class 12th to postgraduate level. But this mainly focuses on class 12th students. It doesn’t matter for which level you’re applying for it can be for PhD or class 10th or 12ths students, you have to follow certain eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship. This eligibility criteria mentioned is for Pradhan Mantri Yojana, Modi Scholarship.
- Candidates applying for the PM scholarship must be of a certain age. They should be in between 18 to 25 years.
- Students’ family income should not exceed 6 lakhs if they are applying for the PM scholarship.
- Any student who has taken admission to any technical or professional Diploma/Graduation course in the year 22024023.
- Students who are doing any course from a recognized government regulatory body are eligible.
- Students applying for the PM scholarship must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Any student who is a dependent ward or a widow of Ex-Servicemen and Ex-Coast Guard personnel who died in harness or got disabled during coast guard service or military service.
- A student who is not a civilian or an award of Para Military Personnel.
- Any student who is not getting any wage for a professional degree course.
- Any student who is pursuing studies through only a regular, not a distance learning course.
Note: Students can opt for only one course while applying for the PM scholarship. If in any case, they have opened courses more than 1 then the application will be considered invalid.
Who Is Not Eligible For PM Scholarship?
There are certain candidates who are not eligible to opt for PM Scholarship 2024-25. You must ensure to check these criteria before applying for the scholarship as your application will be rejected. We have mentioned below the criteria for which the scholarship is not offered.
- Any candidate who is willing to apply to the scholarship and is pursuing Master is not eligible.
- If any students who are doing jobs or earning are not eligible.
- Students studying abroad are not eligible for this PM scholarship.
- If students are doing a distance learning course, then they are not eligible for the PM scholarship. The students who are studying in the regular courses except the distance learning courses are eligible.

What are the benefits and Rewards of the PM Modi Scholarship 2023?

- Students passed with 75% marks will be given INR 1000 every month as a PM scholarship amount.
- Students passed class 12th with 85% marks will be given INR 25,000 as a total sum of scholarship amount.
- The important thing to remember here is that students must be getting 50% marks in their semester then only they will be eligible for the PM scholarship. The students who are in undergraduate courses which last long for 3-4 years, then the scholarship amount will be INR 2000 per month.
PM Scholarship 2024 Payment

There is one more criterion the student must score more than 50% in the next term, or year. If he/ she fails to do so, then the scholarship will be kept on hold.
Selection Procedure of PM Modi Scholarship 2024

- Children or Widows of ex-serviceman or coast guard who had died during service of Military or Coast guard
- Children of Coast Guard who got disabled in army service
- Children and Widows of Coast Guard, Ex-serviceman who is the recipient of gallantry awards
Selection criteria:
The order is as follow is given to the students is given below:
- Category A: The wards and widows of the CAPFs and AR personnel who were killed in action are the first preference.
- Category B: The wards of Ex-CAPFs and AR personnel who got disabled in action are the second preference.
- Category C: The wards and widows of deceased CAPFs and AR personnel who died during their service for causes attributable to Government service are the third preference.
- Category D: The wards of Ex-CAPFs and AR personnel who got disabled during their service with disability attributable to Government service are the fourth preference.
- Category E: The wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who have received gallantry awards are the fifth preference.
- Category F: The wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR only) are the sixth preference.
- Category G: The wards of serving CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR) subject to the availability of the PM scholarship are the seventh preference.
Note: The wards of the state police personnel who are dependent and died during Naxal/Terror attacks will also be given preference.
