What is PGIMER?
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research , Chandigarh , founded in 1962 is an institution in the field of medical sciences. It has an objective of providing best medical education to the highest standard in India. It is an autonomous institute which is approved by INC, MCI and UGC. It has also been ranked 2nd for medical by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) in 2021. The institute offers various courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels, in the field of medicine.
PGIMER 2023 Application Guide (Application Form):
From 2021 onwards , INI CET has replaced the PGIMER entrance exams , and the exams further shall be taken place biannually. Candidates who are interested to get admitted to any one of the courses i.e. MDS, M.Sc ,MLT , DM/M.Ch ,MD etc. through INI CET 2021 , must appear for the INI CET examination . First of all the the eligibility criteria must be checked by the interested candidates . Only then, candidates can get the application form by visiting the official website www.aiimsexans.org. The results will be declared on the same website only after the exams. There will be a counselling seminar after the selection of candidates.
PGIMER 2023 Examination Dates :
The official dates for INI CET 2021 session have already been announced by the authority. It is something like this :
Basic Registration – October 2021
Admit Card Release – November 2021
Examination Date – November 2021
Result Declaration – Dec 2021
Counselling Process – Dec 2021
PGIMER 2023 Eligibility criteria:
- For MD/MS –
• Candidates must have an MBBS from a University or MCI recognised Institute - • Rotatory internship training must have been completed by the candidates (progress of completion shall also be considered)
- • Registration with the central /state medical council is a must.
- For MDS / House Jobs (OHS)
• Candidates must be a graduate of Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Punjab University recognised by DCI - • Registration with the Central or State Dental Council is a must.
- For M.Sc Pharmacology
• Candidates must have completed MBBS or an equivalent degree from any University recognised by Medical Council of India MCD. - • BSc (Astronomy, Physiology and Biochemistry ) or B.V.Sc or B.Pharma from and institution recognised by Government of India is also considered.
PGIMER 2021 Admit Card:
Admit Card will be available for download about 15 days prior to the date of PGIMER 2021 exams. The candidates can get the admit card from the online more of the website.

The PGIMER 2021 results for the January session were released on 2021 , December
A candidate’s scores determine ranks in PGIMER 2021 exams. If 2 Candidates secure the same score ,the rank will be awarded to the senior candidate. The minimum qualification % for candidates are as follows –
55% (General /Open)
50% (OBC/PH/SC/ST/Rural/Foreign Nationals)
45% (Bhutanese)
PGIMER 2023 counselling :
This was the fourth and most probably the last round of the PGIMER 2020 Counselling . The counselling round would be conducted as ofline base by the PGIMER 2020. Candidates are hereby asked to check the official website for more information about the venue, and time of the counselling event.
The PGIMER Exam authorities have made an announcement about the seat matrix for the third round of PGIMER Counselling. The seats announced are only for the MD/MS. Previously, the first and second rounds of the PGIMER Counselling was done online.
