Patliputra University, Patna, was founded by decree of the Government of Bihar on March 18, 2018. All of the colleges in the Indian state of Bihar’s Patna and Nalanda districts—aside from those affiliated with the Patna University—fall under the purview of the Patliputra University. 25 constituent institutions, two government female colleges, three minority colleges, and a handful of affiliated colleges are all under the administration of the university. In addition to skill-oriented courses in vocational and technical/professional sectors, several of these schools operate post-graduate centres in a variety of disciplines that have received university approval. These affiliated entities are managed by properly formed management boards that have been approved by the university and their local governing authorities.
