The state government established the Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology in the year 1961 with the objective of establishing a university that can give the education of agriculture and veterinary sciences to young people. It has 10 colleges, one center for PG studies, and one Agro polytechnic college.

OUAT.nic.in Fees Structure 2024
The admission in UG courses shall be made on the basis of score secured in the entrance exam and senior secondary examination (10+2) with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST candidates). There are various streams in which numerous courses are offering i.e. Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Basic Sciences, Humanities, Community Science, Horticulture and Fisheries.
The application forms are available on the official website of the university. Candidates can fill the form online and also pay the application fees through online mode. Such courses are B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc, B.V.Sc, M.V.Sc, MCA, MBA (Agri), B.Tech, M.Tech, B.F.Sc, M.F.Sc, M.Phul, and Ph.D. For admission in Engineering, candidates should have a valid score card of JEE- Mains Examination.
