NUSRL Admission 2026: Application Form, Dates, Courses & Eligibility

The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) Ranchi has announced the release of Round 2 Seat Allotment Lists for BA LLB and LLM through CLAT 2026 on January 27, 2026. The Round 1 Seat Allotment Lists were declared earlier on January 18, 2026, and the results were announced on December 23, 2026. Candidates can access and download the Seat Allotment Result by logging in with their credentials on the official website @consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2026.

National University of study and research in law was set up in the year 2026, in the affect of Act No:4. Hit on Ranchi, Jharkhand. The university renders facility on under graduation level, Post graduation and PhD. The University is recognized by the University Grand Commission (UGC). The University provides good education knowledge in the field of LAW.

The University aims to develop strong inter-linkages with the industry, law firms, advocates, and regulatory bodies by organizing a six-week internship program for the students at the end of the semester. The University also offers distance education program by building the gap between the theory and the practice.

Admission:

National University of Study and Research invites applications in law courses at UG, PG and Ph.D level. To pursue LLM candidate must have to qualify entrance examination named as CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and at PG level 

UG Admission:

National University of Study and Research offers UG courses of Law such as B.A.L.L.B 

PG Admission:

At PG level this University offers course such as L.L.M. Doctorate of Philosophy at Ph.D level.

Application form:

Candidates can fill an online application form for UG, PG and Ph.D courses by visiting the official website of the University and submit Rs 2500 as an application fee 

Admission Counseling:

The process of Counseling is done on the basis of merit list prepared by the management of the University.

Merit List:

Admission to any course is based on the merit list prepared by the University and candidate can see the merit list at the official website of the NUSR University.

Eligibility:

1 Eligibility for B.A.L.L.B course is to qualify 10+2 from any recognized board.

2 Eligibility for L.L.M course is to qualify CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).

NUSRL Courses Offered:

• BA LLB ( Duration 5 Years),
• LLM ( Duration 1 year),
• PH.D (2 Years).

BA LLB is an undergraduate course which lasts 5 years. Each year has two semesters. Students have to appear in 10 examinations throughout the course. If a student fails in an exam then he/she has to clear that back in next semester.

LLM is a Postgraduate course which has 4 semesters. 

The Ph.D. program is the highest degree of any program.

Admission Procedure: 

First thing that you have to keep in mind is that, this University admits candidates only on merit basis. Second thing, the candidate has to have their entire required document handy. Third, the aspirant has to clear the National Level Entrance test (CLAT). CLAT is a common law admission test. It is an All Indian entrance exam conducted for UG, PG students. Conclusion is that, the candidate will have a direct interview. Once they clear the interview, admission will be provided.

Candidates have to register themselves by click on New Registration. After giving details of login credentials an user id and password will be generate on their mobile phones and email id. By using these login credentials one can fill further details in the application form. Make payment of application fee through online mode.

• BA LLB : Admission on clearing the national level entrance test , CLAT
• LLM: Admission once the national level entrance test is cleared, CLAT.
• PH.D: Admission on clearing the national level entrance test, CLAT.

Fee Details: The fee payable for the BA LLB for first semester will be around  Rs 1,50,000/-, where else for LLB first semester will be around Rs 1,23,000/-. On the other hand the Ph.D course fee for first semester will be around Rs 1, 50,000/-. However the candidates are advised to check for any change in fee structure.
