National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA) is a prestigious government institution that specializes in research related to education planning and management. Admission:

The National University Of Education Planning And Administration reserves seats for reserved categories. You need to pay the semester fees and submit the documents on time otherwise the university cancels the admission. The shortlisted candidates are able to apply for admission. The university cancels your admission after finding the suspicious information. 

Courses offered by NUEPA:

NUEPA offers M.phil courses for a period of 2 years. The Selection process is through Entrance test and Personal interview which are equally important.

Similarly, NUEPA offers PhD courses in the same four educational areas. The Selection process is likewise as same as M.phil course. 

The university offers integrated M.Phil-Ph.D, Ph.D. (full time) and Ph.D. (Part time) programs. All the candidates who are selected for Ph.D. programs shall be offered NIEPA fellowship. Candidates who are qualified NET-JRF, have been awarded Junior Research Fellowship by the UGC. But candidates who are applying for part time Ph.D. programs are not eligible for any fellowship.

NUEPA Admission Eligibility Criteria:

For M.phil, the candidate should have a Master’s degree in Social science or allied discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.

For a PhD, the candidate should have M.Phil Degree in Educational Policy, Planning and administration.

If Candidates chooses Ph.D. for part-time, he/she should have a minimum of five years of work experience in teaching or research field. Additionally, the candidate should be eligible for 1-year leave during the course work.

Candidates have to submit these documents with the application form by uploading them on the official website and when they will call for counselling then they have to appear with these original documents as well as xerox copies of these documents.

Application form:

The National University Of Education Planning And Administration releases its application form on its official website. A separate application form is filled out by the candidates for different courses. The National University Of Education Planning And Administration charges the application fees Rs 400 for General category students and Rs 200 for SC and ST category students. 

NUEPA Admission procedure 2026:

• Candidates selection process for M.phil and PhD courses happens through Entrance test and Personal Interview. 
•  Candidates can get the application from NUEPA University or downloading it from the official website.

NUEPA also offers PG Diploma in Educational Planning and Administration.  Another key point to be noted is Candidate should be nominated by the State Government or Approved Authority. Candidates applying for PG diploma should have a Graduation degree in any discipline with age below 50 years.  Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of work experience.

Candidates can obtain the application form directly from NUEPA University or downloaded from the official website- http://niepa.ac.in/.  When submitting the application, candidates should pay a non-refundable fee which should be remitted in the form of DD. 

The DD should be issued in favor of “Registrar, NUEPA”, payable at New Delhi.

The application form along with Research proposal(2500 words-3 copies) should be sent as a registered post to below address:

Fellowships- NUEPA:

As per norms of UGC, NET Qualified candidates with JRF will be awarded NUEPA fellowships. Another key point to be remembered is the continuation of fellowship depends on the progress report of the scholars signed by the supervisor.
