North Orissa University Admission 2024-25: North Orissa University is a Public University and was established by the Government of Orissa in 1999. The University offers various courses. The University consist of different departments that deals in specific areas such as Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application, Economics, Physics, Santali, Zoology, Business Administration , School of Education, Library and Info. Science and so on.

The university offers admission to various courses in the regular as well as the distance mode. Candidates who do not wish to pursue their degree in the regular mode can opt for admission in the distance mode. Admission will be done on the basis of the merit list prepared by the university by considering the marks scored by the candidates in their qualifying examination. The online registration form for North Orissa University Admission 2024-25 is expected to be released in the month of June 2024.

North Orissa University Application Process 2024-25

Candidates can fill the application form by visiting the official website of the University i.e. http://www.nou.nic.in/

Steps to fill the North Orissa University Application Form online:

1. The candidate have to visit the official website of the University which is mentioned above.
2. Candidates have to fill the online application form for the entrance test.
3. After downloading the form from online mode, candidates are expected to take out the hardcopy of the form.
4. Candidates are required to fill the form and attached all the documents and have to be submitted in the University.

North Orissa University Eligibility Criteria 2024-25

The eligibility criteria varies for different courses in which candidates wants to apply.

• For M.Phil. Course

Candidates should have scored at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in master’s degree course from a recognized University. For SC/ST Category, candidates should have scored at least 50% marks in the examination.

Also an entrance exam is conducted by the University followed by the interview held by the University.

Candidates who had qualified the examination such as – UGC – CSIR – NET/GATE/SLET are not required to give the entrance examination. They will be only called for an interview.

Candidates who had completed their Ph.D. Degree cannot apply for this course.

NOU For Pre-Ph.D. Course

• Candidates who had scored at least 55% marks in their master’s degree are eligible to apply for this course.
• Also they had to qualify the entrance examination followed by the interview conducted by the University.
• For SC/ST Category, candidates had to score at least 50% marks in their master’s degree.
• Candidates who had qualified the examination of UGC – CSIR – NET (including GRF)/ GATE/ SLET/ Teacher Fellow did not need to give the entrance test which is conducted by the University.
• Candidates who had completed and have their M.Phil. Or M.Tech Degree, they are not required to give the entrance test.
• *There is a specific fee for the application form which the candidates are required to submit before filling the application form. If candidates are choosing courses with more than one specialization than they had to pay the application form fees for each chosen subject.
• *Candidates can also submit the fees through net banking.

North Orissa University online admission form 2024-25

• Candidates have to visit the official website of the University.
• Then they had to click on the “Online Admission” link.
• Candidates are required to fill in their personal details and are requested that they use their personal phone number.
• After candidates are successfully registered, then they will be provided with the application id and password, and log in with the details and fill in the details asked in the application form. Upload all the scanned images and signatures in the JPG format.
• They had to print out the filled form for future response.

Online submission of application fee:

1. PG / Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. Course: Rs. 500/-
2. M.Phil. Course: Rs. 600/-
3. Pre Ph.D. Course: Rs. 1000/-

The application fee must be submitted separately for each application and for each different subject. The application fee can be submitted by Debit card/Credit card or by e-payment through net banking.

Entrance Examination:

The entrance examination will consist of multiple choice type questions with 1 mark for correct answer and there is no negative marking. The answers will have to be marked on OMR sheets as per instructions given in the sheet.

Each paper will be of 90 minute duration with 70 multiple choice questions.

The question will consist of 40 questions from Honours/Core papers and 30 questions from the same subject’s generic elective papers as per the OLD CBCS UG syllabus.
