As per the official notification released in April, NEET UG exam will be conducted on July 17. Reportedly, over 18 lakhs aspirants will be appearing for the entrance exam with the aim of getting a seat in the top medical colleges for MBBS and BDS courses. The National Testing Agency reopened the NEET 2023 application correction window on June 14. Candidates can make certain changes in selected fields as required till June 16 (9:00 PM).

NEET 2023 – Exam Day Guidelines
Applicants taking the NEET UG exam on July 17 must be aware of the following important guidelines to avoid last-minute hassles on spot.
- Candidates must arrive at the NEET 2023 exam centre at least an hour before the scheduled reporting time
- Candidates must carry their NEET 2023 admit card with their photograph affixed
- Applicants must carry all necessary documents, like ID proof, admit card, passport-sized photographs, and PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Candidates must come dressed as per the NTA guidelines
- Applicants must maintain all Covid-19 safety norms, such as wearing masks and gloves, carrying a hand sanitizer, and keeping safe distance
- Candidates must not carry any of the prohibited items inside the exam hall
- Applicants must pay attention to all instructions given by the invigilator inside the exam hall
NEET 2023 Dress Code
NTA specifies the dress code for both male and female candidates appearing for NEET. Candidates are advised to adhere to the dress code strictly:
• Wear half-sleeve T-shirts/shirts/kurtis
• Wear simple trousers/jeans
• Wear open-toed shoes/sandals/slippers only
• Avoid wearing outfit with too elaborate embroidery
• Avoid wearing jewellery and accessories, like earrings/bracelets/nose pins/belts/watches etc.
Candidates found breaching the dress code may have their candidature cancelled.
NEET 2023 – Exam Pattern & Marks Distribution
NTA has not made any major changes in the pattern of NEET UG exam. The paper will be conducted offline and the total duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 20 minutes. As suggested in the table above, the NEET UG paper will have 3 subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each divided into two sections. Candidates will need to attempt all 35 questions from Section A and 10 out of 15 questions from Section B.
As per the marking scheme of NEET –
- +4 marks will be rewarded for each correct answer
- -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer
- 0 marks will be allotted for each question left unanswered

- As per NEET toppers, the difficulty level of the NEET 2023 question paper was between easy to moderate
