National Dairy Research Institute was established in Bangalore in 1923 as Imperial Institute of Animal Husbandry and Dairying , it renamed as Imperial Dairy Institute in 1936 and after the independence of India it was renamed as National Dairy Research Institute and in 1955 the institute’s headquarters moved to Karnal, Haryana , India from Bangalore. It is India’s premier organisation for dairy research under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and affiliated by University Grants Commission.

National Dairy Research Institute Fees Structure is not so high as it is a government institute . All the faculties of the institute are very supportive and highly qualified and providing the best knowledge and practical approach to students. To develop students skills institute provides internships in various fields . Good companies and industries of all ov er world came to institute every year and select the students according their talents . approximately 70-80% students got placements every year with good packages.
The candidate who is eagerly waiting to seek admission in this institute in B.Tech. course must qualify 10+2 with 75% from recognised board and JEE Main score. For Ph.D. programme candidate should qualify postgraduation from reputed university . the candidate should first go through the official website of the institute and fulfil all requirements asked by the institute and then apply.
The fees will be modified from time to time by the competent authority of the University. Also, fees and annual fees once paid, will not be refunded at any cost.
Students admitted to Diploma and B.Tech.(DT) under the SC and ST category, they are nor required to deposit the tuition fees, welfare fund and examination fee.
