MMMUT Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

There are certain basic eligibility criteria which are to be fulfilled by the candidates who are willing to opt for admission to the courses offered by MMMUT. The candidates who fail to comply with these criteria will not be offered admission to the courses. We have mentioned below some of the basic eligibility criteria for MMMUT Admission 2026-27 which you must ensure to fulfil.

• Candidates interested in pursuing education in the engineering and technology field can go through the university guidelines for the admission.
• For undergraduate program: the candidate must have given their exam in Uttar Pradesh, or he must be a resident of UP. He must have completed his 10 + 12 from a renowned board of education.
• He/she should complete the age of 17 years and the maximum age should not be more than 25 years.
• Candidates who are under the reserved category will have given the relaxation in marks at the time of admission.
• He/she must be domicile of Uttar pradesh.
• Admission to such programs are strictly made on the basis of merit and entrance test.
• For postgraduate and PH. D programs: students don’t need to be a UP citizen to be eligible for masters or a Ph.D. degree in MMMUT. The students must have a bachelor’s degree in their respective fields from a renowned university.
• SC and ST candidates are given a 5% relaxation in the exam
• For M. Tech, the students who clear the GATE test are given the seats first, and the remaining seats are allotted to the students who qualify the MET entrance test.

The Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology will release the online registration form for admission to the courses offered by the university on their official website. Candidates who wish to opt for admission must ensure to submit the registration form before the last date. MMMUT ADMIT CARD

The university provides the admit cards before the MET entrance test. The applicants can visit the university’s official website and fill in their login credentials and download their admit cards. Admit card can be downloaded from the University website www.mmmut.ac.in. However, the original admit card will be made available to the candidates at the time of entrance test in the examination hall.

The centre once allotted will not be changed. In special circumstances, the change of centre may be permitted with the approval of competent authority after paying a fee of Rs. 500/-. The change of request must be received one week before the date of examination by paying a DD of Rs. 500/-drawn in favour of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur payable at Gorakhpur

The admit card contains all the information of the candidate. The candidates have to carry their admit cards and photographs to the examination hall before the test. Without the admit card, the students will not be allowed to give the examination.

ADMISSION TEST SYLLABUS

The main subjects for the entrance test are physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

The exam takes place offline, and the questions are objective type. There is negative marking so it is advised to the students to answer correctly and wisely.

The students must take the admission test seriously as based on this test, the selection of the students is done. The students who excel in the admission test are selected. The selected students should complete the admission procedure properly.

MMMUT RESERVATION

The MMMUT RESERVATION criteria can vary according to the total number of students. Reservation is a means to uplift the weaker sections of society and provide them with equal opportunities.

MMMUT reserves seat for a few categories like

• 21 % for SC
• 2% for ST
• 27% for OBC
• 10% for economically weaker section

MMMUT RESULTS

After the test is conducted, the university releases the merit list on its website, which the candidates can check after entering their roll number and details. The merit list will show whether you are selected for admission to the University or not. You will be contacted by the counselors in case your name is on the merit list for the purpose of admission.

MMMUT COUNSELLING 2026-27

The various round(s) of counseling and spot counseling shall be conducted in order of merit of eligible candidates of MET based on their combined rank, even if they belong to reserved category at MMMUT, Gorakhpur. Advantage of their reserved category rank shall be provided at the time of allotment of seats depending upon their eligibility. Admissions to all the available seats in different programs being offered by MMMUT shall be made as per the merit rank of MET-2026 except B.Tech.-I. In case of B.Tech.-I program, 90% seats of total intake shall be filled on the basis of merit rank obtained by the candidates in MET-2026. The admission to20% seats (10% of total intake and 10% supernumerary seats of total intake) of total intake in B.Tech.-I year course shall be made from the following JEE (Mains)-2026 qualified candidates:
(i) Admission against 10% seats of total intake in B.Tech.-I: Candidates who have appeared the qualifying examination from UP or the candidates whose parents are domicile of UP.
(ii) Admission against 10% supernumerary seats of total intake in B.Tech.-I: Candidates who have appeared in JEE (Mains) Examination from any Indian state other than Uttar Pradesh The counseling schedule/process and counseling fee/security deposit details and fee refund policy will be notified separately on the University website. The eligible candidates are required to regularly visit the website after declaration of MET results. The allotment of seat through counseling at MMMUT Gorakhpur will be carried out strictly in accordance with the merit of candidate in MET, candidate’s order of preference for the seats, and availability of vacant seat in the respective category. All the latest instructions of the University up to the date(s) of counseling shall be applicable.

After the results are declared on the website, the university schedules a counseling session for the students. The students can choose their subjects, seats and pay the session fees and officially get admitted to the university.

Examination and Distribution of marks for Academic Program:

In all the semesters of all the subjects the theory and practical examinations shall be conducted by the university to check the ability of a candidate.

Distribution of Marks will be based for Theory and Practical based Subjects.

Theory-based subjects include phycology, history, etc. whereas practical-based subjects are Maths, Science, etc.
There is a different distribution of marks for theory-based and practical-based subjects.

Candidates must have to pass all the tests equally.

The marks and grades of extracurricular activities are also considered in the marking system. The candidates are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities to develop their personalities.
