MHU Admission 2026-27 | Haryana : Maharana Pratap Horticultural University was established in the year 2016. MHU University is located in Karnal, Haryana. This is the first University in Horticulture stream in Haryana. Likewise, its the 5th University in the country.

The primary goal of the university is to establish itself as a premier learning and research institution that also excels in associated fields.

The organization’s goal is to develop a wide range of environmentally responsible agricultural practices in order to boost the horticulture industry’s overall productivity and financial potential. The Ph.D. program is the highest degree in any discipline. For Ph.D. admission, candidates should have passed an M.Sc in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized University. The minimum duration of this program is 3 years and the maximum is 6 years. Candidates must have to pass the entrance test and personal interview to get admission to this program. Those who have qualified for the NET/SLET/GATE examination shall be exempted from the test.

The course duration of the M.Sc course is 2 years & Ph.D. course is 3 years.

The Maharana Pratap Horticultural University offers a number of courses with different specializations under Ug and Pg programs. You should follow the eligibility criteria for admission. The eligibility criteria are different for every course and the duration is also different.

Application form:

The Maharana Pratap Horticultural University advised the students to keep the printed copy of the application form and the receipt of the payment. The students need to pay the application fee in the following way:

• The university will charge INR 1000 to the students who come under the General category. 
• The university will charge INR 250 from the students who come under the SC / BC / EWS category.

• CCSHAU Entrance Exam Pattern:-
  • Total no. of Questions – 100 MCQs of 1 mark each
  • Duration- 2 hours 30 minutes
  • No marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
