Maulana Azad University is a central Urdu University which is established in the year 1998 in the Indian state of Telangana, Hyderabad, India. This university is also popular as MANUU (Maulana Azad National Urdu University). This university was named after Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad , who was the first Minister of Education of India, a freedom fighter in the independence era, and a scholar of Islam and Urdu literature . The university have its campus in two cities in Hyderabad and Lucknow and recognised by UGC approved, AIU member and NAAC Accreditation.

The university offers 83 courses across 11 streams as Humanities& Social Sciences, Teaching & Education , Engineering, Science, Medicine &Health Sciences, Business & Management Studies, Accounting & commerce, IT & Software, Mass Communication&Media, Banking, Finance& Insurance and design. The university provides diploma courses , degree courses as bachelor’s ( B.Sc., B.Com., BCA, B.Tech. B.Ed etc ), master’s (M.Sc., M.Com. , MSW,M.Phill.etc ) and doctoral programmes( Ph.D.) . Candidates can apply in any programme according to their interest and preferences.
